Reckon its good for a draw - 0:0
Neither side need to win and in my opinion both teams and mangers will settle for a draw.
Whilst I can understnad Croatia wanting to do the double over England and McClaren wanting more ammo to fend off his critics (not that there are many ;D) I think both sides will be sent out with defense in mind and a draw is the inevitable result.
Croatia still top the group (potential seeding in Final?) but if they press too much and concede a goal on the break then maybe England top the group and get seeding in the Finals.
With that in mind the mind-set of both camps will be to not concede and the reason I think it will be a draw!

A boring and unconvincing England 1 Croatia 0 I reckon. Crouch with the headed goal.

England need to win to have a "easier" group in 2008,
'borrowed' from bbc: Wins for the Romanians and the Czechs means England will need to win to finish in Pot 2 for the draw
if England draw, Germany avoid defeat and the Portuguese, Poles and Swedes then its pot 4 for us and the harder the teams we'll play
its Pot 3 for us if those 4 teams fail to do what they need and we draw
Pot 1 is already decided; Austria, Switzerland and Greece and probably France

All I want for Xmas is a win for Russia tonight. There's no hope of an England rescue performance in the reminaing minutes to ensure qualification. They look out of depth and out-classed. Sorry guys, England's failure to qualify will be the best thing that can happen providing the old farts at the FA use the opportunity wisely. Bye Bye Mclaren. Shit, we still need Russia to win to end it once and for all. Come on Russia! And as I type this sentence, Russia have scored! Woooo!!!!!! ;D

'Fraid I was echoing similar sentiments on Saturday bro!
It's about time the FA, Players, Media and the fans accept the fact we're a mediocre International Team without a cat in hells chance of winning any major trophy!
Maybe if we set our expectation levels on a par with the Scots and everyone involved in the international set-up feels less pressured then maybe we might progress in International football.
Need a new manager for sure - and the players need to take a long-hard look at themselves and their inconsistent, lacklustre performances. They need to accept that they ain't gonna coast any game, that they ain't the best in the world and they need to seriously think about their international futures.
I'd like to see Central Contracts - with the FA picking up the players wages. More matches - if necessary playing club sides in the PL or Championship. Similar to England Test Cricket players they'd be released for club duties between the International periods (say December to March)!

Well even the professional rugby ranks have negotiated release contracts for their international players. It's high time the FA did the same. Can't disagree with anything you said - I too have been on my soapbox on Sunday. Everything I said that needed to happen is finally happening. Let's hope the FA does not waste the chance to change things radically. Lets be honest, they've got a shitload of time on their side to make the right changes and the right decisions. Only trouble is, I don't have great faith in the athlete that is Brian Barwick being capable of organising a piss-up in a brewery.
