Scolari won't take it. He pulled out of the running last time due to the press and things ain't gonna change in that respect. Mourinho/O'Neill wouldn't be bad though. Lippi's always spare as well. Notice the lack of English coaches?

Man for the job I reckon - he'd shake the shirkers in the white shirts up! And the muppets in the FA! i completely agree mate! they wont get him as they'll do another 'cloughie' on him and go for a safe option! I think the list should be: 1. Mourinho 2. Martin O'Neill 3. Scolari ...and that is it! Scolari won't take it if offered - especially after the farcial attempt to sign him up last time. And you can guarantee the English media won't leave him alone! Arsene Wenger would do a good job - at least the games would be exciting with fast flowing attractive football!

I can't actually put into words how fucking furious I am right now and now doubt that emotion is felt by any other Englishman/women right now.
How can Macca play a 4-5-1 in a make or break game, AT HOME?! How did the FA not BEG Mourinho to take charge as soon as he left Chelsea?! So so many questions and no answers, it's defies belief.
Macca should never have got the job in the first place, we all knew he was the wrong man for the job, we all knew we wouldn't get anywhere with him in charge and we all knew the FA are a bunch of fucking twats who wouldn't know their arse from their elbows, even with a fucking diagram.
Here's hoping that Barwick resigns and takes Macca and Venables with him and never have anything to do with the FA again. We need a manager with passion, drive, self-belief, tactical nous etcetcetc but with Barwick in charge, God knows if we'll ever get one. Tonight was a complete disgrace to English football.

McLeish. Not a chance on McCleish. He'll stay with Scotland and I think he'd find it too much to go from Scotland manager to England manager

To be honest, I'm not looking at tonight's match as the deciding result, or even the Russia one. For me, the match that put us out happened twelve months ago. 0-0 at home vs Macedonia. THAT was a game that should have been three points and instead we took one from a thoroughly inept display. Had we taken that win, we'd have been four points up on Russia and tonight would have been a dead rubber in terms of qualification.

Losing is good, we can get rid of clown Mclaren and rebuild. Scraping through qualification would have just set us up for the ultimate dissapointment of getting knocked at the quarter finals again under a shite boss with a load of paid primadonnas like Lampard. England will turn this around now
