Lets divide the members of the board into groups a bit like School Houses. We can have Red, Blue, Yellow and Green for example.
The groups compete during the football season (how they compete to be discussed) and we have a running league table. In the summer and in January transfers can be made etc etc!
I love lamp!

You ponce! ;D Ya, let's have Houses. I suggest instead we name them after famous figures such as Hirst, Moore, Charlton and Styles! I then suggest we all have a jolly glass of Pimms while watching the croquet tournament, wot?!

I vote we name them after obscure UK places - Dorking, Catchfrench, Little Yeldham and Cardiff, for instance! ;D

I think the prominent figures naming is good. Each House will be colour coded and the members names coloured accordingly.
It will create healthy competition.......did me the world of good and will provide a new experience to those of you who are common.

Except I meant Stiles, not Styles! ;D It could also create tribal war / gang culture?! Was it Eton or Harrow you went to Cav? Or maybe that Grammar Skool in Reading? A mate of mine went there...

Jules are you not a product of public education, something I sense you're not proud of! Certainly not, I am a product of Private Education! ;D I'm neither proud nor ashamed, it did a good job for me, yet I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

Jules as you have admitted in the past, you're a bit lazy, so you may not have achieved much in the public sector. So it's done you well. Mother was a teacher and worked in both sectors, her observation was that average children in private sector attained exams etc., whereas they wouldn't have. I'm not saying your average by the way. Also why wouldn't you recommend something that has served you well

Feh, the schools I went had a house system as well, Didn't actually teach us anything, because most of us couldn't give a damn! Year 3-6 had Ospreys, Eagles, Falcons and Kestrels, and year 9-11 had Ashton, Bedford and Churchill. If a commoners' school in Luton ain't common, I don't know what is - so the house system isn't exclusive to you posh types, Cav

Marlborough College if you must know why? REALLY! Did you board? Yep and a number of boarding houses are for girls! A forward thinking establishment that was one of the first boarding schools to go co-educational I believe.

Also why wouldn't you recommend something that has served you well I wasn't a bit lazy when I wanted to get into a certain University that I don't want to bang on about. I guess the point is if I want something I will make an effort, but (and I know this will sound arrogant but fuck it) if I don't really care about something I can still do it well enough so why try hard? I need to work out what I want though and then go for it I suppose. You're right in saying that Private Education improves your chances - whether you're average or even poor (intellectually). I suspect I'd have thrived wherever I was though - lived in a good area anyway, it's not like the local state schools were no good. Indeed, don't worry, if there's one thing I'm confident about, I know that I'm not "average" Well Hurls, at the risk of pressing the same old point, because not everything I believe is about my personal gain!

Shut it, crappy Airport-Town man! ;D Crappy, maybe, but not obscure or insignificant ;D Luton is UTTERLY insignificant! Sorry! It's not even the capital of Bedfordshire FFS! No University (no decent one anyway), Not Much Industry left, all it has is an Airport! Don't take it personally though

They are all rough, dangerous and full of people who don't know any better.
