O'Toole set for Hornets return
Watford midfielder John-Joe O'Toole is set to return to the club after being on-loan at Sheffield United since February.
Hornets manager Brendan Rodgers admitted the Blades had not been in contact about making the move permanent.
O'Toole was in good form at Bramall Lane, scoring one goal in nine appearances before ruptured ankle ligaments ended his season prematurely in April - causing him to miss the play-offs.
Although the Blades are not short in the midfield department, they may yet return for the talented Republic of Ireland Under-21 international having sold several squad players.
But Rodgers told the Watford Observer: "We haven't heard anything from Sheffield United and he will be back with Watford."

Blades put 'not for sale' sign up
Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe insists none of the club's star players are for sale this summer.
After missing out on promotion to the Premier League with defeat to Burnley in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, rumours were rife that some of the Blades' best players would be sold to reduce the wage bill.
But McCabe told BBC Radio Sheffield: "At times, if an approach comes for a player from a Premier League club, then it is very difficult to then keep those players.
"But Sheffield United do not intend to sell any of their key players."

Blades set for summer of change
Kevin Blackwell wants eight new faces to arrive at Bramall Lane this summer as he looks to pick Sheffield United up from their play-off woes.
The Blades' defeat to Burnley in Monday's Championship showdown prompted Blackwell to consider his future at the club, but the former Leeds manager has since received Blades' chairman Kevin McCabe's full backing.
Blackwell told the Star: "It's going to be red hot next season, there's no doubt.
"The three clubs that have come down are going to be fierce competitors.
"It's going to be a very tough league, but last year was tough and we finished third. It's up to me now to get some new players in.
"I know there's going to be seven or eight new players coming in, which is more than I would have liked, but that's the way it is."

Ah straight to the Warnock playbook: exaggerating the number of players we'll be bringing in.

Lupoli eyes permanent Blades moveArturo Lupoli has revealed that Sheffield United are in talks with Fiorentina to make his loan move from the Serie A club permanent. The Italian joined the Blades on loan in February and immediately endeared himself to the fans after notching on his debut in the Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday. Despite such a positive start to life at Bramall Lane the 21-year-old has started just one more game since and found himself on the bench for the play-off final defeat to Burnley last week. However in spite of his lack of starts the former Arsenal man is optimistic that both clubs can come to an agreement which will see him continue as a Blades player next season. "I would love to stay at Sheffield United, but it is up to both them and Fiorentina to sort things out," he skysports.com. "It would be a great option for me to stay in Sheffield because I want to establish myself at a club now, after three different loan spells in the last two years. "I got a call two days ago informing me that Sheffield United are in talks with Fiorentina about keeping me permanently, but whether it will go further depends on whether they can come to an agreement." Lupoli is hoping that both clubs can settle on a permanent transfer with the striker looking to settle down after loans spells at Derby, Norwich and Sheffield United in the past two years. "It is always good to go out on loan and play regular football, especially in the Championship, which is a very high level of football," he added. "But there comes a time when you just want to settle down and establish yourself at one club and that is what I would like to do now. "Hopefully it will be at Sheffield United, but if not then somewhere else where I can get my career back to the top level again." ----------------------------------------------------- don't want him

Sharp has Blades future - Blackwell
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has assured out-of-favour striker Billy Sharp that he has a future at Bramall Lane.
Blades striker Sharp, 23, failed to hold down a regular place in Blackwell's starting line-up last season and has been linked with summer moves to Yorkshire rivals Leeds and Huddersfield.
Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Everybody's got the same opportunity, they return pre-season with the same level playing field.
"You've got to fight for the right to be a Blade and players have got to work hard to be a Blade.
"Everybody else here has got an opportunity. They've got to work hard and try and put right the wrong of not getting into the Premier League."
Lifelong Blades fan Sharp was released by former manager Neil Warnock in 2005, but returned to his hometown club for a reported £2million fee in 2007 after firing 32 goals for Scunthorpe in their promotion-winning year.

Blackwell sure duo will stay
Blades boss confident Naughton and Walker will not be sold
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is confident that both Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker will be at Bramall Lane next season, despite the duo being continually linked with exits.
Both youngsters impressed for the Blades as the club reached the Championship play-off final last season, with England Under 21 international Naughton in particular being looked at by Premier League sides.
Aston Villa and Manchester United are two of the teams said to be interested in the full-back, but Blackwell told skysports.com that neither Naughton or Walker will be allowed to leave this summer.
"We haven't got to sell anybody, so it is our discretion as to whether they leave or not and the club isn't under any financial pressure," he said.
Sales "Everything will be taken on its merits, but I am confident that both players will feature heavily for this club in the future.
"They are only in the infancy of their careers, but there is no doubt that they both possess immense talent and we are delighted to have them with us."
The Blades suffered a frustrating end to the season after Wade Elliott's wonderful strike sealed Burnley's return to the top flight at Wembley in the play-off final.
However, Blackwell has experienced similar agony while working under Neil Warnock at Bramall Lane and also as the main man at Leeds United, and he is confident they will enjoy another successful season next term.
Bouncing back He said: "We always count on the experiences that we've had in life to guide us when the setbacks come around and hopefully that will stand us in good stead for next season.
"We shall see what happens, but I am very confident that we will have another very good season next term.
"When you start running around those tracks you soon forget about play-off finals and the rest of it, so I am not worried at all that the players will dwell over it when pre-season gets under way.
"We will make sure that the players are up and ready for the big kick-off when it comes around that is for sure."

Blades snub Toffees' £5m Kyle bid
Everton have had a £5million bid for full-back Kyle Naughton, who is also wanted by Manchester United and City, rejected by Sheffield United.
The 20-year-old is one of the most promising talents outside the Premier League and has been linked with a move to the top flight this summer.
After impressing in the Blades' ultimately unsuccessful bid for promotion from the Championship, Naughton is reportedly a target for Aston Villa, Mark Hughes' big-spending City and their neighbours United.
However, Everton tried to pip their top-flight rivals to the right-back's signature after lodging an offer with the Blades.
Toffees manager David Moyes is willing to pay an initial £3.5million for Naughton, with incentives eventually taking the deal to £5million.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell said last week that he was confident of keeping the youngster over the summer - and his club have rejected Everton's opening offer.

Blades win Reid race
Promising winger heads to Bramall Lane
Sheffield United have won the race to sign out-of-contract Kyel Reid, skysports.com understands.
The Blades beat off competition from a number of sides to land the youngster's signature on a two-year-contract, with Wolves, Birmingham, Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Newcastle all thought to have been interested.
Reid was available on a free transfer after his previous deal at West Ham United expired at the end of last season.
He signed professional terms with the Hammers in 2005 and has since had loan spells at Barnsley, Crystal Palace, Blackpool and Wolves.

Blades want Evans and Williamson Sheffield United are closing in on Manchester City striker Ched Evans and Watford midfielder Lee Williamson, BBC Radio Sheffield understands.
It is believed the Blades have made a bid of £1.5m to lure Evans, 20, away from Eastlands after they tried to sign him in the January transfer window.
A deal to bring Williamson to Bramall Lane is also thought to be close.
The 27-year-old is expected to join for around £500,000 but the Blades will not confirm any details.
