After a creditable performance against one of the pre season favourites for a playoff spot the Palace in which the Hornets passed well & created several good chances this has been followed up by a hard fought but similar game against Charlton. Smudger is excelling in his in the hole role. Priskin is lloking lively & Rasiak could be the man to fire us forward. The rest of the squad is still solid & if we can hold onto it in January then the early indications are looking far rosier than may Horns expected. And yet another clean sheet. Poom is an OAP but he was superb for Derby at this level though it would be nice if Loach who has immense potential (hence the number of Premiership sniffers) gets a chance. With Bamba on the way & possibly de la Cruz at a later date I can say its a pleasing start. Still of course to meet the teams that came down who will be a real challenge ie the Blues & Royals. Come on you mighty Horns. Tommy Smith 1 P 2 W 1 D 1 L 0 F 1 A 0 +1 POSITION 7

Pretty unlucky to lose at the City Gound.
A draw was a fair result. Forests defence was like cheese & yet again Smudger was the main instigator of all that was good about Watford. Some shocking defending from Bromby & Demerit gifted two goals.
P 3 W 1 D 1 L 1 F 3 A 3 0 POSITION 13
Smith 3
If we sell Smith there will be huge protests at the Vic like nothing ever seen before. Rasiak is out so great news once again.
On the bright side Liam Henderson excelled in his short stint in the LC & deserves a place on the substitutes bench.

To summarise up & down. Should have drawn the Blades & Clarets & beaten Forest & even a half alive performance should have guaranteed a point against the Pilgrims & Owls. Shows aside from Reading Birmingham & possible Wolves its once again a much of a muchness division though Derby could be starting to revitalise & Jewell has the experience (Wigan Bradford) to take them up. Only undeserved points the three against Charlton. Should have been a draw. Also Bangura is in hot water again. Withdrew from the Reserves on Monday without notice to join up with Sierra Leone to play Nigeria away. AB will be furious. He was already in the doghouse for misdemeanours on the Austrian trip this summer & after wandering round Sierra Leone last summer whilst allegedly fearful for his life he will cop it. Probably trying to get a cap to extend his work permit. Another of the raft of illegals/ asylum seekers who should have been removed once their claims were found to be false or their reason coming here removed ie Saddam Hussein for the Iraqis , Milosevic for all the Bosnian/Kosovan Albanians . The sooner Bangura is transferred along with Mariappa & Bromby & Williams retired the better. We might be able to pay the tealady.

Normally we put three past you Rich. Don't think so today. Tight game .In this division one decision can tip the match. I'm sure Lallana & Surman will be kept a close eye on & similarly Smudger on our side. I reckon both clubs could just about afford to buy a packet of biscuits for the refreshments.

That was a fucking disgrace. Your keeper was shite and out penalties were worse! He couldn't hold on to a superglued tennis ball if it was handed to him Plus he should have been sent off in the 2nd minute! First half Saints were playing reasonably well and it was only cause of your tall men at set-pieces that you scored 3 times from 3 half chances. Piece of absolute tripe. You had nothing in the first half and seemed to have a player injured every minute. Second half was terrible and neither side showed anything. Few chances each but nothing spectacular. I'm not a happy bunny

Rich Lee Someone’s laughing, Lord, kum ba yah! O Lord, Richard Lee ! ;D Be fair rulesaints we were missing Rasiak . And Lee is the natural third choice for us. Maricrappa is a terrible player not surprise he gifted a penalty. Apart from Priskin & Ward we're a pretty small side in this division. Shittu left last season. And we have a perpetual injury crisis too. Thats the way of the division you take what you can get. And we'll take those three. I am a very happy bunny. Next week no doubt I'll be a very sad bunny. Chin up Saints fans.

Sorry I've cooled off now My point was that Rich Lee shouldn't have even been on the pitch (and your sub keeper saved nothing in the warm up!) 3-0 definitely wasn't a fair result. A draw probs would have been. btw I would say that the average age of a player in our team was 19

David McGoldrick is probably the worst striker in this division and it's sad that we are relying on him as our first choice striker. At the start of the season Rupert Lowe said to Jan Poortvliet 'David McGoldrick WILL be first choice'. He's so unbelievably poor it's unreal... I actually hate him as a player. He clearly has an attitude problem, he's a lazy C*nt and when we play one up front... he should be leading the line!! We move him out wide and he still does fuck all. His finishing is abysmal (another one on one missed yesterday). His goals this season: Tap in against Cardiff (ooo well done). decent goal against Exeter (exeter ffs), penalty against exeter (penalty wow) Header against Derby (it wasn't even his goal, lallana's shot was way over the line first), penalty against norwich (penalty wow). It really pisses me off that we persist in playing him, because we are a bunch of cheap skates and can't afford to pay Stern John a bloody appearance fee... HE SCORED 17 GOALS LAST SEASON FFS!!!We'll move him out wide and then maybe play Pekhart or Robertson up front on their own... who are INEXPERIENCED!!! What the fuck is with this stupid FORMATION!!!! one striker up front, DOES NOT suit saints at all. WE DON'T HAVE THE PLAYERS.!!!!!!!!!! It baffles me how we can't sign a full back and play lloyd james at right back instead who is a centre mid. he runs like a fucking headless chicken/girl, has no positional awareness and DOESNT NOT MARK ANYONE ON CORNERS FFS. if he had marked someone on set pieces, we probably wouldn't have conceded 3 silly goals. As for centre back, why the fuck are we playing paul wotton there !!! he is slow. He is better holding midfield... I'm sure selling Andrew Davies to Stoke was a great fucking idea... £1million !!!! WE WILL GET RELEGATED WITHOUT HIM AND OUR SHODDY DEFENCE AND LOSE MUCH MORE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST LIKE NOT PAYING STERNS APPEARANCE FEE... WE WILL GET RELEGATED WITHOUT A DECENT STRIKER!!!! HE WILL KEEP US UP... FUCK HIS APPERANCE FEE!!! HE WILL SAVE US MOOLAH SCORING GOALS SAVING US !!!!!!! To sum up: McGoldrick is so fucking shite. We need full backs. We need centre backs. We need to learn how to defend set pieces. We need to change formation. We need stern john. P.S paul wotton's penalty... HOW FUCKING OBVIOUS WAS IT THAT HE WAS GOING DOWN THE MIDDLE. HE RAN HALF WAY DOWN THE PITCH TO SNATCH THE BALL AWAY FROM WHOEVER AND TOOK A HUGE RUN UP... EVERYONE AROUND ME SAID 'HE'S GOING STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE' Goalie didn't even have to move... he could have saved it with his left nad!! ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH.

P.S McGoldrick's penalty was awful too... i forgot about that and it wasn't even a penalty, was outside the box. it you are taking a penalty, stick it in the fucking corner you C*nt!!!! you can't place it half way between middle and corner and so weak like that FFS !!!!!! GOALKEEPERS DO NOT SAVE HIGH PENALTIES - GO HIGH OR IN THE CORNER. C*nt!!!! Watford brought a decent amount of fans, but the noise they made was pretty abysmal... if i was watford fan and saints had missed two penalties and we were 3-0 up i'd probably running around naked i'd be so happy. watford sat in silence for most of the game lolage. We were shite, but watford weren't amazing... not at all. Henderson should have scored (if he had a left foot). Dissapointing.

... if i was watford fan and saints had missed two penalties and we were 3-0 up i'd probably running around naked i'd be so happy. Having seen the physique of some of our supporters mate I assure you that would not be a pretty sight. Plus there might be young girls watching. Yes we need full backs too but both clubs haven't a penny to spend . I'm sure your fans are asking the same questions as ours. Where has the money from the Premiership & parachute payments gone ? Not all of it (though it probably is the majority )has gone into the pockets of despicable agents & greedy mercenaries surely. Give young Liam a break though. He looks a solid prospect for us.Generally speaking he ' right footed but not bad with his left & still only a kid too. I hope we can sign Ward. With a man mountain alongside him as with Shittu last season Bromby looks a different player. Maricrappa get rid .You can have him for a the price of a ham sandwich. Ypu have to be careful a number of former Premiership clubs have trodden the path to division three the last being Leicester. We' re not safe either considering unless we get a buyer we will have to sell some more players in January. Get yourself on the Southampto Echo mate & apply for a mentoring scheme at the BBC to get on their sports journalism side of things. Mention also that you're Polish or Albanian or Somalian will get you fast tracked too.
