Todays game see's QPR make the short trip to Vicarage Road, in what shall be the first game of the Paulo Sousa era.
With new loan signing and ex-Hornet - Heidar 'Ice Man' Helguson likely to claim a starting place, other ex Hornets include Gavin Mahon and kebab boy Lee Cook, expect the latter to get a shit load of abuse after running his mouth this week. ;D
Eustace is suspended, Rasiak, Hoskins and O'Toole are all in contention for a start. Rumour has it Loach shall be replacing Lee between the sticks today aswell.
As mentioned by Ovech on the last page, the way we have been playing we deserve to be higher in this league. Lets hope for a good game and all three points to the Golden Boys.

Yippee thre points 3-0 and a clean sheet. Fitz Hall obviously does not like the Vic. ;D Blatant pen. Priskin rang rings round the QPR defence and Smith was on top form. Looks like we have a real gem in young Jenkins playing with the composure of a older player. McFluff looked lively for once and great goal from Ward. Onwards and upwards. Bad luck Nik.

Great win v Naaarwich @ home! Apparently they played the best they have all season - and we were pretty bad, but still managed to grind out a result. Is Rogers the new Special One? Need to follow this up with another 3 points v Cov on Sat!!

We duly beat Coventry only to lose a couple and then eke out a draw somewhere. And we just about beat Scunny. Horrific game. I felt sure I would suffer frostbite with the windchill and straight into the Rookery. Elton John of Star Stories fame dropped in at Watfords plush London Colmney training facilities the other week. Looks like he will resume his post as Honorary Life Queen of Watford and hinted that ASir Graham Taylor may be coming back in some sort of role. Still rumours of some investors coming in board who were with Elton. Saracene the other denizens who co-habit with the Horns are set to end their tenure in 18 months time with a move to Drug Runners United ground ie Fulham. They hope to increase their fan base which will be tough titty on those yokels who decided to adopt them with such gusto (inc.myself for a couple of seasons (lovely cheerleaders)) in the Rous. Some Afrikkans billionaire has invested money into the club and decided to make it a refuge for the oppressed white rugby players deserting South Africa in their droves by luring them there with huge contracts and the promise of some 700000 Afrikaans (can you believe it, probably if you've been to a London wine bar recently Karin you were lovely) in the area looking for a fight. ;D Ta for now.

Looks like God also known as Graham Taylor will be rejoining Watford on the board of directors. A good move as he will ensure everything is done in the best interests of the club. Still no sign of any new investors though. C&P from the Wobby our local rag. Elton John's trip to the Hornets’ training ground and his show of support for the club’s new regime is “important” in Brendan Rodgers’ bid to create the “old Watford”, according to the Northern Irishman. After quitting his role as honorary life president in November, Elton made a dramatic return on Friday of last week when he flew into Watford’s London Colney base in his helicopter to meet players and staff. The singer-songwriter decided he wanted to re-build bridges with the Hornets following the departure of former chairman Graham Simpson and chief executive Mark Ashton and contacted the club so he could be put in touch with Rodgers. The pair have been in discussions since mid-December and at the beginning of last week, the rock star decided to make an appearance at the training ground before he went away on tour until late April. Rodgers said: “I think Elton is obviously a big part of the history of Watford and for me, from being someone on the outside looking in before coming here, he is a iconic figure and when people talk about Watford they relate the club to Elton John, so for me it is only a positive thing. “I want to try and create the old Watford, in terms of us being a community and family club and it is important to have as many friends as possible and Elton is a good friend.” After arriving in his private helicopter, the 61-year-old met a number of the players and staff as they came in from training, and after around an hour at the training ground, he gave a speech to the players, where he explained his reasons for ending his formal affiliation with the club and how he believes the Hornets have a bright future with new men in charge. Watford skipper Jay DeMerit said: “He [Elton John] was just solidifying what the board and everyone else has been saying, that we are not here to try and make this season more difficult than it already has been. “I think we are here to come together and make sure the club are going in the right direction and he solidified that point himself and he said ‘I’m here now and I’m going to try and help out as much as I can’. “Obviously he is a busy man and we all know that but you do look to him to hopefully add more support if needed and that was his message to us.” DeMerit added: “He [Elton John] is an integral part of what this club is all about and I think to see him leave was a shock to everyone, but to see him come back is something he wanted, the fans wanted, the board wanted and everyone else wanted. “To have him back is great, because him just being who he is and being a fan of the club brings a bit of notoriety to Watford Football Club and that is a positive thing in itself.” The majority of the players had not met Elton before and for Jack Cork, the singer’s visit came on just his second day at the club. The 19-year-old said: “It was my second day in and he flew in on his helicopter and I have never seen Elton John before but to see someone who my mum and nan absolutely love was weird. “I saw my mum afterwards and I said to her that I saw Elton John and she was buzzing.” Buzzing with what dare I ask ? SEJs best years were the early 70s. Would be nice if SEJ could spare a couple of million here or there.

Here is the result of that FA Youth Cup encounter Rich and RS. www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11214Bad luck. We have a very promising team , and I seriously believe most of this age group can make it into the first team. Three are already age group internationals and Oshodi is not even 17 yet.(I think).

did we actually play well? Not really. But we were far worse. Says it all about this division , much of a muchness aside I guess from Reading when they are at home and Wolves when at full strength. BR sat like a limpid hare waiting for the first frosts of autumn to arrive whilst Crosse and Blackwell was doing his King Kong impressions. Kenny had little enough to do. Corkour best player fluffed a pull bakc from Rasiak and headed over a miraculously well delivered Willo corner. Midfield was there and thereabouts on our side .Morgan looked hard as nails Halford hada steaming game. On our side Cork,Snith and Harley were there in person vis a vis the other ghosts. Demerit had Maricrappa nearly had a fight after letting Webber slip free. No wonder our defence leaks goals. Neat finish from Henderson to be fair ,sad thing is many of our fan were chanting Hendo for half an hour afterwards (nearly started a fight in the Rookery ,club is in turmoil in all parts). Credit the Blade fans. Respecful silence and applause for local lad Captain Tom Sawyer (and ex season ticket holder)who I knew in passing at our school killed by the scum in Afghanistan. They should flatten the hellhole. Desperately need a CB for a start and reverting to 4-4-2.

that sounds like us, not very good but grinding out a result. The fella on Sky Sports News seemed to think we were good and played well ..... maybe he's the same disease as Blackwell. I like Henderson. We always played better with him upfront than Beattie, so i hope he stays fit.

Plus there is very little goal threat whereas Webber ()not great by any stretch stil is mobile) and Darius is stil his old bullying self again by the looks of things He'll still need a fai few chances to convert the one. Best of luck in the playoffs. Hopefully we can stay out of the bottom three. GT was in the directors box. Wish he were managing us still.
