Fairly strong rumours today that SEB is off to Everton for £6 million... Could be nothing in it other than forlorn hopes that Argyle had some sell on clause. Given how we were stitched up by his first contract I think that highly unlikely... Source? Rumourmongering Argyle fans. PASOTI, I suspect, which is notoriously unreliable (Plymouth Argyle Supporters on the Internet)

Wolves will have to stump up a new club record transfer fee to prise Kyle Lafferty from Burnley.
Boss Mick McCarthy’s latest bid of £2.25m plus striker Stephen Elliott is still sitting on the table, with Celtic and Rangers also very keen on the Northern Ireland international.
Wolves’ current record is the £3.5m they paid Bristol City for Ade Akinbiyi in 1999, but it is believed Burnley would only do business at something approaching £4m for a player who has scored 10 goals in 52 starts.
And the Clarets are determined to play hardball in the battle for their prize asset.
“If someone was to come in and offer something out of this world, that would be for Kyle, the chairman and Brendan Flood to have a look at,” said Burnley boss Owen Coyle.
“You want to keep your best players at your football club and Kyle is one of those, but I can’t stop people from making offers.
“We’ll do our utmost to make sure he remains at Burnley. He’s got better and I think he can evolve and be better again.”
Celtic offered a £3.5m package which included Derek Riordan in January, but Burnley have so far refused to buckle.
Coyle has refused to confirm any bids have been received, but admitted interest in the 20-year-old striker, who scored nine goals from left midfield last season, including the winner at Molineux last December in a 3-2 Burnley win.
“There was interest in January,” admitted Coyle. “It’s not rocket science to know there will be interest in Kyle and one or two others, but we certainly won’t be courting offers for them.”
But despite the interest, Coyle stressed he doesn’t want to drag things out into a public bidding war for the player.
“I like to think we conduct business in a proper manner. If anything has happened, and I’m not saying it has, it would always remain confidential between ourselves,” he said.
Lafferty is 6ft 4ins but rather than a target man, is an excellent footballer with two good feet.
The 20-year-old was forced to play wide left behind Andy Gray and Robbie Blake, before Gray was sold to Charlton.
McCarthy is targeting several signings, including at least one central defender and a creative midfielder.

Skysports.com understands Liverpool are exploring the option of sending young winger Adam Hammill out on loan again next season.
Plymouth, Charlton, Preston, Wolves and QPR are all monitoring developments, while Aberdeen and Hibernian are ready to offer Hammill the chance to return to Scotland after he impressed against them while playing for Dunfermline.
Benitez is believed to be looking at the list of interested clubs before making a decision on Hammill's future.

Kyle Lafferty believes Wolves are in pole position to sign him – but Burnley insist they have not met the asking price.
The Northern Ireland international spoke yesterday of his desire to leave Burnley, who are believed to want £4m. Wolves have a £2.25m bid plus Stephen Elliott on the table and are believed to be favourites to sign the 20-year-old.
Lafferty said: “They are a huge club who are always fighting for a play-off place or automatic promotion rather than struggling in the bottom half of the Championship.
“It has always been an ambition of mine to play in the Premier League and I feel that if I moved to Wolves, I would have an excellent chance of reaching what many believe is the greatest league in the world.
“I understand Wolves and Rangers want to sign me – I would be thrilled to move to either club. Celtic are also interested but I don’t think that’s ever going to materialise.

Wolves are set to face a barrage of interest in star keeper Wayne Hennessey – with Villa having had a tentative approach rejected. Villa were one of the first clubs in the queue to enquire about the 21-year-old Wales international, now being watched by Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle and Middlesbrough. They were met by a firm refusal from Wolves, who are determined not to sell the keeper. Hennessey would command a fee of £5m-£6m, but any offer will be met with the stiffest of resistance from Molineux. The player himself, who is under contract for another four years, has already pledged his future to Wolves for at least another season. Whether the gradual increase of interest will be enough to turn his head however remains to be seen – especially if firm offers come in. Source: Express and Star Villa can fuck right off

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has rubbished claims that midfielder Michael Kightly is on his way out of Molineux.
Grays’ owner/manager Mick Woodward, who has a sell-on clause after selling Kightly to Wolves in late 2006, further fuelled rumours about the 22-year-old’s future by stating he would leave this summer.
He claimed that Everton, West Ham and Blackburn had all come in for the former England U21 international - with one already lodging a £4million bid.
Wolves have been quick to respond to his comments with a clear message - Kightly is going nowhere.
He said: “I was very surprised by Mick’s comments. We have received no enquiries or bids for Michael. Our chairman Steve Morgan went on the record at the end of April with a clear and unequivocal message: Our best young players are not for sale.
“We have got an exciting young team here and we are building something special. Michael wants to be a part of that.
“We will not allow this kind of rumour and speculation to disrupt our plans.”
