Ischia fears for his job and would be a favourite for the assistant spot. Tocalli would be preferred for knowing the kids and Russo/Simeone as a line of sucession along the German model. Simeone is on the verge of the exit door at El Monumental though after another disappointing defeat to Apertura minnows Gimnasia and participation in the Copa Sudamericana hanging by a thread. Grondona has announced the decision will be delayed until this weekend keeping everyone in suspense.

Grondona the corrupt bastardo now says either today or tomorrow for the announcement.
Hot favourite is now Carlos Bianchi . Paddy Power have stopped taking bets on him.
Bianchi a great centre forward in his time would be a great choice so long as he does not decide to bring back Boca OAPs such as Palermo.
Ischia could well get the assistant spot.

Translation from 'El Grafico', an Argy paper: "Diego Maradona became the new coach of Argentina. Bilardo would be as general manager. Batista would remain in Juvenile. It remains to define some names on the coaching staff: Brown and Troglio."

What GB means MR is that giving the Argentina head coach role to Diego is like giving the Newcastle job to Gazza. Its a recipe for disaster. Grondona is a complete bastardo. He settled a score with Bianchi by pretending to offer the job then at the last minute saying it ust be shared. Carlos is a proud man and would only take the job with his own staff he trusts. Grondona the C*nt knew this . Now Maradona seems to set to appoint his own friends to the coaching roles like Troglio. This is not a holiday camp this is the head coahcing spot of Argentina. Well Argentina can kiss goodbye to any chance of winning in 2010 with this idiot in charge. The best player ever but a useless human being. He could not coach in the Argentina second division. Boca steered well clear of him despite him being a huge idol. Trist Argentina actually this bastardo to ruin everything. First Basile now this. At least Alfio has won titles and played some super football in his time . Already the idiot is thinking of calling up Angeleri over Gonzalo, Papa over Monzon. The man is a buffoon. I guess Aguero is guaranteed a spot in the team every time now too. Maradona is a spiteful man. His comments on Messi were first praisworthy but as soon as future son in law turns up he starts to criticise Leo. I would not trust this man to coach a Sunday parks team.

Diego Maradona, Carlos Bilardo, Pedro Troglio, Julio Olarticoechea and Héctor Enrique are the coaching team. So the old boys can have smoke and pot of coffee at the local cade as the bandoleon plays Piazzolla ? Fernando Signorini (trainer) who ?, “Profe” Divos (trainer) who ? Sergio Batista and José Luis Brown would keep working with the young teams. All the wrong men.

News Flash: Senor Puff La Magia De Dragón appointed assistant manager..... Ha ha. The man is a reformed character(we think). Should be an exciting time ahead. Would love to see Diego meet Blatter. ;D One after trying to fix Player of the Century vote in favour of the media whore Pele. Two when Diego missed the opening ceremony in Berlin 06. is reply being 'I came to see my team(la Seleccion) not Blatter'. ;D Team v Scotland already has Bilardos fingerprints over it ie 3-4-3. ----------------------------Carizzo-------------------------- --------Burdisso------Dimichelis------Heinze----------- Maxi-------Mascherano-----Gago----------di Maria--- --------Aguero---------------------------Tevez----------- --------------------------Lavezzi--------------------------- Maxi and di Maria to tuck in a sign of Bilardos more defensive mentality. Bilardo has announced he will make regular visits to Europe to see all the player candidates for La Seleccion unlike Basile and prefers a true nine ie Denis/Cavenaghi vis-a-vis a media punta type. No Messi due to agreement prior to the Olympics with Barca. Only area of concern is the back three.SLOW SLOW SLOW. Get Garay and Gonzalo in NOW Bilardo.
