I accept karma is a fun thing, and I laugh when I get a smite, but I give you an example of abusive smiting which is unacceptable, and very cowardice and sad as this particular poster no longer resides here, so what's the point. 606 Championship :: View Profile: Jess View Profile: Jess (username: jessycar) Jess High-Profile Premiership Player Status: Offline Whatever people say won't change a thing. Are you taking the piss mate? Tis what I was thinking. Seems a bit odd! Whatever, not fussed. Got to admit Lolly, i saw what you said about changing the names for the exalt/smite but i don't think that changes much. Surely its worth losing it or substituting it for some alternative. I'll have to have a butchers at what we can do to replace it properly.

Well, I couldn't think of an alternative really, so was just offering a compromise. I think whilst there's still the option of taking something away (i.e the smites) then people will use it, regardless of what guise it's in

Out of interest, if we get rid of a feature because a small minority are abusing it, in what way are we better than the BBC?

I have had a thought karma should be replaced by Force points a la Star Wars You are either Jedi or Sith!! Oooh, that's a thought! Maybe not necessarily Star Wars, but that works - neither's a particularly bad thing to be; you lean more towards 'good' or 'villainous' as opposed to being good/crap. You could be Sithed for a brilliant joke that was in very bad taste, for instance! ;D Edit: Referring to the old Hanna Barbera cartoons, what about Space Ghost or Hooded Claw, as another example? (I appreciate that one probably won't work, but just to get the ball rolling...)

Not sure how possible it is.
On MyBB the board LF is on...You can see why "reputation" has been added and who by as they have to state a reason. Works very well I have found.

It's not possible on these type of forums I don't think. There's no way of stating who has given who what...unless they themselves say. It looks as if Karma is staying. The troublemakers accounts have been deleted and we've been troublefree ever since!
