Well I think we all know whats what with this particular issue - GfJ's voting thing!!!! I hope that u guys do get it sorted as its getting beyond a joke now in all fairness and the longer its dragged out the worse its going to get. Sorry GB - I forgot - karma is your life Everyone has their own opinion about it, this way everyone gets their say; correct me if i'm wrong but there hasn't been a problem with karma on this scale that has been discussed in such a manner. You make it sound like it's the staff team's fault we haven't done anything about it!!? Thats probably because people have never really made such a fuss about it before in all fairness, all of a sudden it seems to have become this big issue that everyone is getting all upset and angry about.

Exactly, it's not been a big issue before, but now it is and we're dealing with it.

ok i havent read through the rest of the thread so i dont know if what i'm about to say is repeating others but honestly, i quite like the whole karma thing. i give exalts when i feel like and give smites when i feel like, like most things on the board i dont get too "serious" and am generally having a laugh with people so i treat "karma" in the same context, i dont expect people to agree with everything i say and therefore i am never surprised to see my karma level fall/rise. i feel its adds that little bit extra to whole "board community" ( ) and if it is lost, i would be dissapointed but wouldnt make a fuss because if everybody else is happy then im happy The moose speaks sense!

I don't get it coz if I'm pissed off with someone then yeah I might smite thwm but it's hardly going to change anything - I mean, it's hardly a threat to them is it? If someone makes me laugh, or if I like them, I will exalt them, as I thing people who make me feel better should be made aware of that. I don't get how it's become such a big deal really, if someone smites me I'm not gonna get the razor blades out, I'm popular enough to get it topped up again anyway ;D well said. c'mon children, this is a pointless debate over a feature that alludes to a bit of harmless fun. if people are that sad and pathetic to spend there lives clicking a little button hourly - fine, whatever floats their boat and frankyl i couldn't give a lesser shit whether it happens to me or anyone else. similarly, if there are that many people are that insecure in their own lives that they are seriously concerned about some tiny intangiable feature that has absolutely no bearing on their lives at all, then that is quite depressing. all these people who have been whinging about their karma disappearing - for fucks sake, stop taking everything so seriously! yes, some spineless little shit may be constantly clicking the smite button. so what? move on. deal with it in an adult and mature fashion, and ignore the fuckers. for my two cents worth, i can't believe that any of the regulars on here are the mysterious serial smiters. my guess would be that it's someone who signed up, supports a rival team and has been victimising one one person. it's not going to make a blind bit of difference to them if you get rid of the exalt/smite feature, rather rise above it. ignore them. by going on the knee-jerk response of "I want karma removed from the board", you're letting these cockroaches win. Accept the fact that these weasels exist in real life, and accept that some people will do things you don't like. Don't bow down to them by ruining a bit of harmless fun for everyone else. Rant over.

Well said Lucky C - I was trying to say as much yesterday but there we go, I shall say no more........ There's more in life than some stupid karma count, but sadly some people have taken it to heart. If the karma/smite thing was removed, no doubt some will complain for a while, but I bet they will forget about it soon enough and it will be all in the past. This is a footie message board not a damn popularity contest at the end of the day!!!! Lets hope that it gets sorted soon

To be honest, the 'serial smiters' have now cancelled their accounts. We know who they are, we even managed to spot when they had made up a new account, pretending to support someone else, with the sole intention of smiting someone. It says more about them than the person they were smiting if they were wasting their time just just to smite.
