Well done Billy with the raindance. But why the hell did we have to resort to hoping for rain in the first place?Shocking batting performance and our bowling had better improve. I'm not going to go into it struggling against Division 2 sides yet seeing as Worcs were relegated with us last year, but then again, they were taken to the cleaners by just about every side. Pathetic. Have been telling a friend from Essex she should come up to watch the Bears vs Eagles match in the Pro40 in September. If she can, we'd have better improved by then for the match to at least be a contest. And Mort, we didn't need an excuse to collapse last year. We just did. Hence the double relegation.

Well, after three days, we're once again scrapping to salvage a match. After reducing Northants to127-5, we let them rack up successive parternships of 96 and 111, eventually dismissing them for 385. The Bears in contrast, went down to 116-7 before remembering they were capable of some decent partnerships. Bell hit 41 on his return to teh side, but Ambrose maanged only 15 before being caught out by Panesar. Carter hit 5 fours and 3 sixes (one of which landed in the car park!) in his 47 and Salisbury made a fine debut with the bat, scoring 54 not out, as Warwickshire were bowled out for 243. Northants closed the third day on 170-4; a lead of 312 runs and Warwickshire have it all to do. There's no doubt about the man of the match so far though. Nicky Boje sturck 105 for Northants from 186 balls and then proceded to take 4 of Warwickshire's wickets at the expense of just 26 runs from 19.2 overs. We've got some major work on our hands or could simply hope for rain a second week running.

Okay, so a decent score of 293 from 50 overs was set and we looked in with a shot through most of the match. Only to let Northants put on the fireworks and they overhauled us with 7 balls left to win by 4 wickets. Maddy socred a fine 77 from 77 balls, but ultimately proved to be in vain. Westwood and Trott also chipped in with 66 and 60no respectively.
Is a concern though to see Ambrose scoring 15 and 19 in the CC match and then just 1 today. And no idea why Bell was dropped unless he was too tired after CC scores of 41 and 62.

Couple of days late, but there was never gonna be any result other than a draw with Leicestershire given the weather. The Bears delared on 433-8, courtesy of 82 from Trott, 84 from Carter and a fantastic 156no from Ambrose. Kruger and du Preez took 3 wkts each. Leicestershire were dismissed for 357, at which point a draw was agreed. Boyce and Ackerman scored 106 and 104 respectively, plus Nixon chipped in with a 63no. Salisbury was the pick of the Warwickshire bowlers with 5-67, wich included 2 in 2 balls. A bowler picked up an impressive haul!

Well, what a disaster that was yesterday. Leicestershire hit 148-6 from 23 overs before skittling Warwickshire for 103 in 21.5 overs to wrap up a 45 run victory. Maddy and Ambrose hit 29 and 28 respectively but that was the highlight as far as the Bears were concerned. Chants of, "What a load of rubbish," could be heard from the fans.

TBH the one day game isn't really my concern - I'm much more bothered about the Champ and we've started off pretty well in all fairness. I hope we get somewhere in the 2020 though

Yeah, I'm more interested in how we do in ther Campionship, although it is Pro40 that I've earmarked for possible matches subject to what else I do over the summer.
Not a big fan of the Twenty20 really. It'll be exciting to watch, but there's no real skill to me. Although to be fair, I'm yet to see a cricket match, so that's a cynical armchair judgement.
