I know I've said it so manty times before - but I think the Sussex game summed up our need for a top quality strike bowler - we should have had that game in the bag no problem

Yeah it does seem to be the same, and it's been that way since we won the title three years ago, if not even before then. We had too much of a reliance on Gilo then, and we still seem to be looking for someone to cause the destruction Donald did in the mid-nineties.

Indeed - and it's all very well us talking about getting Mushtaq in from Sussex for next season but I don't think he's what we need - batting has done well as usual, and Tim Ambrose has been the find of the season, but I'd like to see us getting a quickie in

Think he can have an immediate impact? Younis did well but there aren't all that many games left - I suppose he'll either get a hatful or a duck - you prob won't see him nicking many one's and two's

well good luck to him - the summer has ruined county cricket this year so I don't think anyone really managed much consistency

Well I support Leeds coz my dad told me to - but I wasn't born there and have never lived there - so no real connection to the county - and seeing as I've lived in Warwickshire for over 20 years I think I owe them a bit of loyalty

Ok, it's been acknowldged for the last few years that we don't have a decent strike bowler, but now we seem to be making decent starts to the season with the bat and even that promptly fades. Although, fair play to Yorkshire. No side loses that heavily just through their own inability. We were outplayed by the better side and two top quality bowlers in Gough and Hoggard, plus Brennan and Rudolph wreaking havoc with their bats.
