It's all part of an elaborate plot by England to make sure I see us retain the Ashes in Melbourne and win them emphatically in Sydney.
Obviously.

England 150-0 at the close of day 1 - I assume we got put in first and lost a bit of play to rain? I wonder if Han was there for that? I think the ECB should sponsor their lucky charm to go and visit more often

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this week has been. I don't think I can come to a Boxing Day Test again after that! My voice has gone after being in the Barmy Army HQ all afternoon (I was like a kid at Christmas in the morning - I was up at 5, bouncing off the walls, probably to the annoyance of my neighbours...) Just awesome. And they did the sprinkler in front of us! ;d
Ponting's out of Sydney - been confirmed a few hours ago. Michael Clarke will be captain. I'm hoping Mitchell Johnson plays, because the "He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right..." chant is amazing.
Off to Sydney I go! It's great to be a pom in Oz today! ;d

I'm the cheerful/confused looking bugger in the middle in a hat. Now I can say that I've been in the Daily Mail. Damn. Absolutely awesome day yesterday! Off home tomorrow, so today just felt a little bit anti-climactic. Never mind. I forgot to say, on my flight over to Sydney the entire England cricket team (even KP) were on my flight. In economy. Alastair Cook brushed my arm, so you're probably confused as to why I'm not in jail/dead... Strauss got a massive round of applause. And yesterday at the end of tour Barmy Army party, Finn, Swann, Bell, Cook and Bresnan turned up. Sadly, I only got to see Steven Finn, but my mate held his drink when he went outside and he seemed to forget about it, so we were just holding it for the evening, wondering what on earth to do with it! He also did the sprinkler... ;d
