It will be a lot tighter . Its a friendly. Spanish players won't like to risk injury and under Capello England have improved. 1-1. Though it woul be nice to see the Spanish score three or four with a Torres double. Hopefully Krkic may play maybe even Mata, Busquets and Capel. Spain have had some great results at age group level and are bringing through some of their best youngsters for a couple of decades and may assume the mantle of Europe's best taking over from the fading French whose grip slipped in 2002.

Thanks Martin and Randy. im sure that would put it up to the full £9.75 million then thanks watford for a genius ;D It was still a gamble at the time. Many did raise eyebriows at the time at the fee. Looking to be a bargain even in todays inflated market. In hindsight would have been nice to add an extra million to it seeing as Simpson and Cashton pissed it all away. Mind you when he goes to Real moving to a different villa KK thats 10% our way .So thanks once again. ;D Up the Villa.

As john Lennons Imagine drifts around the Stade Velodrome at halftime its 1-0 to Argentina. Jonas Gutierrrez scoring at the enbar post from an Aguero cross dg back across the box. And against the run of play. Carizzo has been the busier keeper saving well at the feet of Anelka and blocking a wickedly deflected shot. Its been a tetchy game with niggly fouls coming from the French who have chased hard to cut down the time on the ball. Heinze and Papa have been awful in defence slicing clearances and not picking up opponents. Where is Monzon and Gonzalo ? Messi when he has had the ball has been dangerous. But for nearly twenty minutes the bal was France's. He and Aguero teamed up to give Messi a clear oppurtunity as he beat two defenders but straight at Mandanda. A deft pass in between two defenders to Papa teed up Masche who nlazed wide. Only after the goal have Argentina been in control. Argentina need a physical presence upfront as thety have no playmaker a la Riquelme to dictate the pace of the game but no one has been chosen ie Denis or Cavegol. Nice to see how the Algerians are integrating well in France. When not rioting in the cities they like to wave their national flag inn the stadium and hurl insults at the French team.
