I melted in the presence of Hirsty. Only him and Waddle have that effect on me . Viv Anderson was the nicest bloke ever though Might Viv not be tainted by prolonged exposure to Bryan Robson and Middlesbrough now though?

Well done Trav ...... congrats and exalted!! I once was able to swim like a fish, and used to win most swimming based stuff at school. I then progressed ..... via serious and enthusiastic training, to be being able to drink like a fish. These days I'd probably struggle with either of these things ..... but ho hum!! ;D

Nah I see myself more as a non-league, much worse, lacking quality version of Beckford but with better stamina and less lazy. ;D So if we drop about 3 leagues or more I might have a calling. HA HA You'll go with the 'tache though, right? ;D HA HA no sorry mate, just not my style.

Probably, Robson leaves a trail of crapness wherever he goes. Viv always used to stop his car on his way home and nick our chips. Top man and very funny yet bloody scary at the same time

It takes minimal commitment, merely a liking for maritime stories, a penchant for uniforms, a beard, and a undying love for fish fingers.

Well done trav, have and exalt
Finest moment: between 2 - Smashing my PB in the 100m by half a second in year 10 to come second only 5 months after snapping my 5th metatarsal, or scoring the 8th and final goal in the final minutes of an 8-1 victory in a match that required my team to win by 7 goals to win the title

Well done, Trav! I came second in a West Yorkshire 200m backstroke competition. Also, I was part of my school team when we won a Yorkshire Athletics competition, we got our medals from the javelin thrower Mick Hill haha. I competed in the 200m running, the 200m relay and the 200m hurdles.

Cav's a runner isn't he, I wonder if he possess some of the same skills I have, I know he's older than me but he's probably trained for longer than me? What kind of running do you fella?

Very impressive Cav! Is the Reading 10k an international event? It's open to the world yes. Any middle distance? 1-2miles? Got to have a low body fat for longer distances low muscle percentage too, credit though, takes quite a bit of training if you want to do it in a real good time.

I rarely do either at the moment though that may have to change if I make a career move. I can go nowhere near a swimming pool for a year then just go in and do 80 lengths like that though......can't understand it!

20,000 posts in the bag! That's 10k for each season I've been on the boards. Seems a long time since I first appeared on here to moan about the incompetence of Kevin Blackwell.......and we'd actually won that day!! ;D Anyway, I gave consdieration to making this one of those typical landmark parties where people give their thoughts on each other, but thought once the daytimers had finished with me I'd be booking an appointment with a psychologist! So an alternative theme; the Olympics open today so let's have your proudest sporting moments. Mine was at a primary school sports day when I completed the 'dream double' by winning both the sack race and egg and spoon race, indeed only a trip denied me a shot in the sprint finish at the end of the obstacle course too! Beat that!! ;D Exalted Trav - top fella!! I came runner up in the UK open Badminton Doubles finals in Telford when i was 16 - which ranked me and my doubles partner 3rd in the UK - but i was much prouder winning the 3 legged race with Jackie Dixon (who i fancied) at primary school! ;D
