I havent heard any of them, EXCEPT THE OBVIOUS CHILIS!!!  actually i have a funkadelic song on my ipod, i downloaded this top 100 guitar solos and that was on it - i'll give it a listen, its called 'maggot brain' |

Maggot Brain, funking awsome, one of the greatest guitar solo's ever, (lasts about 10 minutes) and is up there with Jimi Henrdix's Voodoo Child.
Maggot Brain, isn't a typical Funkadelic song but is as good as many they've written. Funkadelic had a big influence on the Chili Peppers, can't explain the music it'll blow your mind.

for funk listen to Tower of Power - got to have one of the top horn sections of all time. I'm mostly listening to Reuben - my favourite rock trio, and the Youngblood Brass Band - who're a hip hop brass band from the US. Check them out at www.myspace.com/youngbloodbrass and listen to brooklyn - they're awesome live and the album is top notch dance-on-the-bus material! |
