If Chelsea are linked with this then how much are they going to be paying for both Tevez and Mascherano next season? I got to admit this is dodgy but then again perhaps this is all linked with a new takeover of West Ham? Thats the thought I had aswell, but they could probably afford to pay £100 mill each anyway!! The group 'MSI' was reported to be interested in taking over West Ham, I ain't sure if they still are.

Not to worry lads! If there are any dodgy dealings, I'm sure our dedicated men at the FA will sniff it out and deal out punishment accordingly! Oh, wait...

Thing is no details on the length of contract.Guess it will be like this.1 season deals only.
Release clauses in the contracts to Corinthians which means Chelsea will be the only ones able to afford this. So WHU will be just bedding in the 2 players for Chelsea next season.
Its no coincidence Arsenal Man,.Utd Barca etc couldnt get hold of these two.MSI made sure of this.
And at the same time to pay for the wages Reo-Coker might have to leave. So much for the tradition of bringing players through the original Academy.
In the long term its a poor deal for WHU.

Permanent aswell, I heard it would be a season loan. I really don't understand it. Congratulations all West Ham fans anyway, although hopefully they'll have bad games against the Royals and particularly good ones against all relegation rivals.
You've added world class quality to an already strong and solid squad, how far do you think you can go now?

has any hammers fan actually posted on this thread!? TBH this is obviously fishy, I mean being real why would they pick WHU, thats not sour grapes its cold hard fact, ITFC nearly got promoted over them two years back and after a good year I'd still be rather surpriesd if we were being linked with two such gems. TBH surprised and worried, I read a WHU fan saying they don't want to be a proving or trial ground for Chelsea. This story smells and I can't see how they can stay there past their year - oh to go forward a year and see how this ends out...if they go to Chelski then what?! Does the FA get to grips with them? Are laws being broken?! Is this part of the buyout of WHU? Calling all Hammers fans, how are you feeling right now?

Im pretty sure the bloke that brought Tevez & Mascherano in will buy West Ham shortly. And then turn them into one of the top Premiership clubs!!!
Two great signings though even if it does break my heart.

Two great signings though even if it does break my heart. You may well be right about a takeover Mr.Millwall. Either its MSI which smacks of Abramovich bypassing the rules on ownership of 2 clubs or a Georgian crook by the name of Badri. He too is a billionaire & wanted in Russia & is friends with Abramovich & Berezovsky. I mean WHU were trying to sign Cicinho from Real yesterday as well. Its worrying in my eyes as a Watford fan indeed for fans of the so called smaller clubs. Yet again the transfer & wage market will be inflated & there will a group of clubs with huge finances backed by reputable as in the case of Aston Villa & not so reputable ie WHU Chelsea Portsmouth(yet another friend of Roman)dominating the league. 1992 saw the end of footballing dreams & the end of any camraderie between the 92 clubs. This situation with these oligarchs is not good for football. You'll end up with an even more marked demarcation in the league within a league. Time for the FA to introduce salary caps.

Tevez explains Hammers move.. Carlos Tevez has revealed he chose West Ham ahead of bigger Premiership clubs because they offered him the best chance of regular football. Tevez and Argentina team-mate Javier Mascherano joined from Brazilian side Corinthians despite being linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. "West Ham is a team where I can get a rhythm and see what English football is all about," said the 22-year-old. "It's going to do me a lot of good to play in this league." Tevez said he was not looking any further than West Ham despite speculation that this was just a stepping stone to bigger things in England or Europe. "First I want to do well for West Ham. I'm not concerned about playing in a big club. I just want to play." Notice he doesn't think much of West Ham then eh We'll put it down to poor english.

When you're offered money, you've heard of any club.

I guess it does make sense - Chelsea; big pay slip, little playing time. Arsenal have a pretty established first team too, and Man Utd said they weren't interested. If he honestly would prefer to actually play, then - no disrespect to WHU - the Hammers' squad would be easier to break into.
Maybe it isn't about money on his part after all - I mean, he could probably have demanded a much bigger pay cheque off of any of the bigger clubs. Even if this is just a 'stepping stone' club, he probably picked one of the best ones he could - a good squad around him, but not so good that he doesn't get a chance to shine.
