Rumours are rife about Abramovich having something to do with this. Apparently he has had a long standing interest in Corinthinans and if this is true he could have easily stopped them going to his main rivals Man U or Arsenal with a cheeky backhander. They go on loan for a season, settle in London and he snappes them up at the end of the season when they have proved themselves.

HOW DID WEST HAM PULL THAT OFF? ? Unbelievable. I think Arnie's story must be fairly accurate, Tevez and Mascherano would surely choose Arsenal over West Ham. Well done anyway Hammers, majjor coup. Who knows where this story could lead, surely if this story of corruption is true Chelsea could face relegation? Influencing transfers to stop competitors is quite a major breach.

I do follow Argentinian football for the passing style of football they play as well as my home town Watford. Tevez had a bust up with some of the ultras in Corinthians then was stripped of the captaincy because he couldnt speak Portuguese. Mascherano was also involved in a training ground bust up & his daughter is seriously ill as well sadly. MSI(Media Sports Investments)are a front for Abramovich run by Joorabchian a friend of his. They have provided funds to Corinthians to act a s a go between in signing various players inc.the likes of Wagner Love at CSKA Moscow for instance to prevent other clubs signing these top talents. He also has interests in smaller clubs across the globe which act as holding clubs. Its a disgrace really. So despite the interest of AC Manchester United(Fergie really wanted Tevez) Arsenal Barca & Real Madrid Chelsea will hold these players to ransom. In all probability Mascherano s pencilled in sadly to play for Chelsea in 2008 & Tevez too. This will ruin their careers.Tevez isnt fat either Spozz just very stocky & barrell chested. They will do well after they settle in with the Hammers style of play which is quite similar to Argentinian & Brazilian clubs but its still a shock if its true.

Ok, he's carrying a spare tire or 5! Thats true at the moment Spozz. Hes not had a proper pre season in any shape or form with the trouble at Corinthians but it wont take very long for him to get back into peak condition. I still cant believe he'd end up at Upton Park & Mascherano. Abramovichs grubby hands are all over this one.Yuk.

There is a company called Media Sports Investment Ltd (MSI) that pretty much owns Corinthians. Massive investment has been plowed into the club by this company who's director is listed as Kia Joorabchian. He has known links and has admitted to knowing Abramovich.
If Mascherano and Tevez have a great season will they end up staying at West ham? I doubt they could afford it. How about Chelsea? Is this yet another Abramovich ploy to stop other clubs signing players which could hinder Chelsea winning?
This has got to be investigated.

If Abramovich is tampering with other clubs' transfers to stop other clubs from hindering Chelsea's success that's very serious and I'd look into relegation for corruption on that level. It has to be looked at.

So as such this is a "friendly deal" to try and gain himself favour. ps. SSN says they are year loan deals
