Thing is Simon had a strong Brummie accent, always trying to be what he wasn't so thats what made it all the more funny!
He would always say 'alright son' in that brum twang!

I have a Brummie girl in my science group. I make her say 'Dudley' for my own amusement. I love accents, but for me is to get Jordies to say kawaski, tiramisu or best of all conjunctivitus ;D

That what I love about foreign people talking about "British accents" - you don't even have the same accent across one town in many cases! (Then you get places like the US deep south, which has broadly the same accent across three states!)
