Developers are currently being scared off by the PS3. It costs over half a million quid to develop a single game (that'll eventually come down, yes) and it's not shifting concoles quickly enough to attract them. Further to that, they've turned down all offers of console-exclusive releases so far, whereas the others are snapping them up. It's also notoriously difficult to develop games for (they don't know what they're doing with the new technology) and they can't use it to its full potential yet either (they're using 2 cores at a stretch, from a possible 6 [one's disabled and one's for the OS]).
The 360 and the Wii might get too far ahead for the PS3 to catch up this time round, but we'll see, I guess. I don't think there'll be an outright winner in this round, but if there were Sony'd be my last guess.

well, as I said, the PS2 is and always will be the best. I don't want it super realistic its a fucking video game! <ignore> well, why would you want a realistic video game?

Yep it's the Collector's Edition. Majora's Mask is my favourite Zelda game, mainly due to the mental storyline. Wind Waker is brilliant too, especially playing it the second time around and trying to collect all the figurines

OOT is my favourite, but i think part of that is the fact it was the first game i got and with it being so huge (or at least it seemed that when i was little, i'm just storming through it now ;D) Wind Waker was/is really good as well, despite some people slagging of the cel-shaded-ness, i thought i was good, but i don't think any of the Zelda's should go back to it. The new style is the right way to do it You ever managed to get all figurines? I think i managed all but 2!

I started out on 'Link's Awakening' on the Gameboy in 1993! Absolutely brilliant Zelda game, still love playing it.
I really liked the departure of graphical style for the Wind Waker, it seemed to fit in with the story line and I really liked it. It will be good to see the 'realism' back but hopefully there will be more fresh surprises in the future!
Never got them all mate, think I was about 2 short too!

I had that too Quality A big thing i like about Zelda is the final bosses, namely Ganondorf Absolutely love having a bit of tennis with him at the end of OOT Can't wait to become Link as well on the game, with the sword and swining the wii-mote around like the sword ;D Going to look like an absolute plonker if someone looked in my window, but i don't care ;D Are there any enemies that you paritlucarly hate? I must admit, i used to shit bricks with those mud monster-people on Ocarina, when they used to scream and freeze you Also, those hands that drop from the ceiling

Yep the floormasters fuck me off big time, especially on the Windwaker. Don't like the little urchins that stick to you and slow you down either, or those things with armoured arses and claws!
I like the peahats though, especially on OOT when they loom up out of Hyrule Field ;D

Right, having spent 5hrs (in total - last night and today) on the Wii, I can honestly say I have no regrets about shelling out for it. I've only played Wii Sports so far, though a friend of mine is beyond impressed by Zelda, and you know what?
I honestly hardly noticed the graphics, which're probably the only downside you could offer for it. I had a bit of a giggle when I first saw them (they're not meant to be any good; they're just enough to do the job), but once you get playing, they cease to be relevant. You're so busy leaping round, swinging, swooshing and flailing that you don't really bother with the graphics - as the people directly involved in its making said, the idea is you feel like you're playing the game, and not controlling a character - and it really does work.
As long as you're not afraid of looking like an arse (read: close the curtains!), and you're willing to let yourself go and have fun, it's just fantastic. The bowling and boxing games didn't really grab me (though the bowling would certainly be a multi-player hit with a crate of beer), but the baseball, golf and tennis ones (especially the latter two) are just brilliant.
If you're even considering getting one, go for it. I've got no reason to complain whatsoever, and if all else fails you can flog it for a profit with ease! (Four hours after release, they were going for £500 on ebay, and as people get more desperate...)

If you were buying the Wii solely for Wii Sports and nothing more - literally only that one game, ne'er a penny more spent - then yes, point taken. However, Eyetoy =/= Zelda, Project Hammer, Metroid prime, Call of Duty, Red Steel etc. And that's just the stuff now/in the immediate future. Bloody Sony fanboys
