Never Chopper! ;D I just think (personal opinion this is) that that maybe there should be at least one Board and its threads that chit-chat and banter is banned! Ro you can't do it. Mort gets on any thread and fucks it right up with a level of stupidity that even pissed up us can't attain on here!! And then Han gets going. Then maybe we should employ you Chop as "Board Enforcer" - sort them out the Chop Way!

Anyway - enough of this sensible 'debate' - which soon degenerated into the typical normal corridor content I might add - Pastie's gonna shit when he next come on (loaded with stong ale, red wine or Jamesons [maybe all three]).
After a couple of days of subdued activity in the corridor he'll be playing catch up again ;D

Not even the odd nightmare CYS? Ro, this is a man who longs for the days when Ian Walker was between the sticks!! ;D ;D I always admired Ian Walker - not for his goal-keeping ability mind you - but the quality of birds he managed to shag (despite a seriously silly hair-cut). And on a footballing note - have to say Paul Robinson produced an outstanding save in tonight's game! Almost back to his Leeds best ;D

Maybe...all people have people they talk to more on the board which is fine. But for whatever reason, there are over 1000 members and enough of them have posted at a reasonable level at some point in the past to mean there should be a healthy number of active posters. But there aren't and (among other things) I think that everyone on here should make an extra effort to be more inclusive and talk to people they don't normally do, whether its about their team or whatever. Which comes back to your original statement about 'over cliqueness (?)' - and if you have a solution to that problem (or over-coming the initial shyness of new (and existing) posters to challenge the existing established 'strong' personalities) then please share. If it works I'm sure a career in politics will be open to you in the near future. There is no easy solution to these things and I don't know all the answers! You just have to go back to basics and make it a pleasant place to banter, chill out, have serious debate, chat whatever. There is a lot of infighting which should be calmed down and just a lighter atmosphere around the place tbh (no mod votes for a while! ). I think a lot of it comes down to the individual and what they do to engage with others. Although there is more to this place than football...we all have that in common and everybody will want to talk about their team. I would struggle to recommend this place to anyone who doesn't support leeds, wolves and derby really. I think we can all agree that mixing with other fans on the bbc 606 championship section of that site was its strength and a better experience than the team boards in the prem. Some of us will go on other team's boards on here but a lot don't. Whilst it might not be realistic to delete the team boards, I think that the football news/ banter section of this site is enormously underused and should be encouraged much more. As it is general, it doesn't favour one team and its not immediately obvious that if you support Burnley, Preston or Newcastle...nobody else gives a damn. I think the between team banter (good natured) and discussion should be encouraged in this part of the board, rather than people retreating to the 'safety' of their own board. I think it is interesting knowing what fans of other teams think about matters relating to your own club or general football matters...like admin or MacLaren as you say. Not sure how but I think the design of the board could be tweaked for this...give that section more space (as it is from the main page you can only see 1 latest post and you don't know in which section it is). More than this though, us more experienced users need to use it more! Maybe somehow, less space for the team boards. Not sure how, just an idea. Hope this isn't too waffly!

I certainly think that there's scope for pinning a 'hot general football topic' at the top of each team's board to encourage more mingling.
