oooooooooo, thats a hard one chops, not really sure which one to vote for Drop him! what a clown, positioning for the first german goal was schoolboy stuff was lucky to get away with the one just after. David James for upcoming internationals, man utd keeper for the long term, can't remember his name.

He's not shit at all, he's a great keeper, but like all keepers, is prone to the odd error. As for calling him a clown, looks like short memories as James has made just as many, if not more high profile clangers yet now he's the dogs bollocks. Yes he made errors, but all keepers do when you're lacking confidence, it doesn't make you a bad keeper ffs.

I really thought McClaren should've given one of the young three (Foster, Carson, Green) a go, since it was a friendly. I mean, nothing to lose, we already know where Robinson and James are in terms of international ability, so why not? I agree Foster would've been the better bet too.

James has been there but he had an outstanding season for Portsmouth last year, has had a decent start to this one and imo therefore deserves a shot again as England's number 1

Thing is, because he's barely had any competition for the No.1 jersey, he's not had owt to worry about, he'll always be first choice but it's good that Foster, James etc have been playing well to give him summat to think about. Competition is healthy!

Its an important position, defenders need to have confidence in their keeper. But then I guess they also want constistency and for it not to be chopped and changed all the time.

If only Nigel Martyn had been born 10 years later, we wouldn't have a problem.
Good old Nige!

Robinson is a good club goalkeeper but not an international a bit like Carragher. Matt Murray is the solution, when he is fit

what you say about Robinson (even though i dont agree) applies to Calamity James as well. He is prone to a mistake every game.

holiday was gr8 m8.....too hot if anything not being biased but i still think Robinson is the best keeper at the moment. It was a bad mistake last night but he is normally very reliable. I blame Shorey for getting in the way of his clearance ;D
