The best replacement would be Foster but unfortunately he is out for the season . Carson is mistake prone & Kirkland is injury prone. Both are sight improvements on Robinson. The problem has to be the lack of English keepers in the top flight. Take a look at Manchester City. Isaksson is injured but Kasper Schmeichel gets the go ahead over Joe Hart. Schmeichel is being looked at by the FA for playing for England on residency grounds. However his dad is set on him playing for Denmark. Take another example. There was an excellent young keeper at Arsenal Stuart Taylor. He performed extremely well but was passed over in favour of Lehmann & Almunia. So he goes to Villa. Where he now warms the bench for Sorensen. Only Wigan,Derby,Tottenham field English keepers as first choices. Says it all really.

foster has poor positioning and doesn't even start for his club Bollocks to that assertion. Foster is great at positioning. Only thing is he's out for the season. Just typical. Should have stayed with us. None of this would have happenend.

oooooooooo, thats a hard one chops, not really sure which one to vote for Drop him! what a clown, positioning for the first german goal was schoolboy stuff was lucky to get away with the one just after. David James for upcoming internationals this wasnt the only quote in this thread to rubbish Robinson and call for James back......... BUTJames once again reiterates why hes SHIT, just look at Readings 2nd goal i think when he comes flying out like a fucking muppet Robinson is Englands number 1 ;D
