Please tell me there is no chance of the game being off Han! Judging by the snow melting here and the Look East weather forecast, I'd say probably not

I hope you're right though I live in West Suffolk, so, hopefully he's only joking. It's meant to be raining Saturday anyway, and the ice should melt quickly as it's not a rural area

He lives in Copdock so is fairly close but it's cool about everything apart from the rain On our website they've said there is a huge tent over the pitch with hot air blowing on it So it'll just be about safety to travel etc if it is going to be called off I guess.

Hehe, it's not so sunny here Yup, keeps the frost off. Have done that for a while now Yeah pretty much, but you'll probably have nothing to worry about

Game on The Club is very confident that Saturday's game against Leicester will go ahead despite the heavy snow, with Head Groundsman Alan Ferguson saying the pitch will be fine.
East Anglia suffered a blanket of snow overnight like the rest of the country but the pitch was covered and precautions against the weather activated.
"We picked up on the bad weather through our satellite system and covered the pitch on Wednesday afternoon," Alan told the Club website.
"There was a lot of snow around but the pitch has been well protected. We'll raise the covering on Friday and get the hot air blowers working. There is a chance the first-team might even train on the pitch if the training ground is frozen.
"I have no concerns at my end about the pitch being playable come 3.00pm on Saturday. We have covered the pitch for games 19 times and we have yet to have one called off."
The Club is also carrying out extensive salting of the stands and walkways around the ground with freezing temperatures forecast overnight and up to the weekend.
"We have put into plan the procedures for this sort of weather and as long as there is not a drastic deterioration, the game should go ahead as planned," said a Club spokesperson.

Leicester on Saturday... I hope you support the right team! Howdy, Dudette!!! Lol! No worries! I went on the Leicester board about 3 weeks ago saying my loyalties lie with my first team. My body may be in the Midlands, but my heart is in Suffolk... ...hang on a second, that means I should be dying from lack of blood circulation by n... *Drops dead, just having time to hand Rumour Mill baton on to ITFCDudette* Lol! COME ON TOWN!!! Bit worried about this though, I have to admit - No Alan Lee, Gary Roberts, Gavin Williams, Owen Garvan... Here's my prediction - if we do win it, the goals will probably come from midfield, cos I get the impression we'll start with Walters and Haynes up front and won't be able to score. We're weakened all over the field (let's face it, with Darren Currie possibly getting an appearance tomorrow, things MUST be bad!!) so a win would be a good result. We can't afford to lose to teams not far below us in the table. Slightly worried in that for some reason I feel Leicester are more likely to score than us (though the stats are against them).

I know, the amount of players missing is a bit ridiculous... But, hopefully Haynes can try and work something and Peters can be speedy on the wing again. And even if we do lose, at least you can be happy as you have a fall back team MY mate up in Market Harborough is the one I feel sorry for

Lol! Market Harborough - oh dear! You can try and find my heart, although I think it slipped into a drain somewhere on Princes Street. Local authorities were informed, but they didn't seem to care. "Come and find it yourself, you Midland-armchair weirdo", the letter said. My heart sank... ...it was 5ft deep in sewage at the time... That reminds me, I should stop talking sewage really...

Lol! "Supporting the right team"... I'll never forget something someone told me on the old BBC 606 Messageboards about 2 years ago. I'd only been posting for a few days. I posted that I was a Town fan Midlands born and bred with no connections to Ipswich. This guy called WARKS lived in Scotland so we ended up chatting about supporting the club from afar. Difference is his parents were Town fans. With me having no connections at all, he said to me "Well then, seeing as you have no family or geographical ties to the place, all I can say is that you must be a very discerning football fan with extremely good taste." Whoever and wherever you are, WARKS, thanks for that one!

I had no interest in football before I moved to Suffolk, but my first match was Ipswich vs Huddersfield when I was 8 back in 2000 (in fact, 12th February!), and I've never looked back ;D So, this Monday, I'll have been a Tractor Girl for 7 years!

Out of interest, I assume you've avoided most of the snow out there in Ipswich, haven't you? Or at least not had anywhere near as much as we've had in the Midlands. I didn't go to Leicester Uni yesterday - the thought of travelling 20-someodd-miles in that weather didn't appeal... ...even though I had a 2 hour seminar, 2 tutorials and 2 lectures which I'll have to catch up on now...

I don't live in Ipswich I live in a village on the A14 between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket. We had some snow yesterday, but it's thawing now. I made a snowman after my terrible trip to the West Suffolk Hospital (got a sprained wrist )

Tractor Girl for 7 years, eh? I didn't have any interest in football for a long time. Just England in Euro 96, World Cup 98 etc.... Then I randomly watched Match of the Day one night in 2000/01 and guess who was on it? I don't remember much of that game, can't remember who Town were playing - all I remember is taking note of the fact that they were sponsored by Greene King, George Burley was the manager and there were these players called Matt Holland and Marcus Bent... First game I remember since I declared myself a Town fan at the start of the 2002/03 season was, funnily enough, the second game of that campaign when we beat Leicester 6-1, and I was delighted!!

What a night that was in my house I missed that game, which was a great shame
