GREAT NEWS ! as we have a sell on clause.... firstly - is it 10% or 20% ? i reckon its 10,,, cud be wrong secondly - apparently the £7 mill in the papers thats mentioned is NOWHERE near enough according 2 Pardew ( good news ) Thirdly - his destination??? these are the clubs I feel could make a bid ( PLEASE turn into an auction with the fee going higher n higher ) If Saha was worth £11.5 mill at the time, then surely must be talking similar figures though i donno Charltons financial position !! Aston Villa - M O Neill wants new signings in Jan to strengthen, Villa are sorted financially, COULD happen, could appeal 2 Bent as Villa should be going places Spurs - have denied placing a £7 mill bid so far,,, but have been rumoured to want Darren Bent for some time ! Everton - Talk of Beattie going 2 Newcastle, would make a great partnership with Andy Johnson, may be out of their reach financially Newcastle - noted 2 want a forward, linked for Crouch for £12 mill, and Beattie, Bents better than both by a country mile ..... West Ham - need a forward and have money, having signed Boa Morte for £5 mill today. wud make a great partnership with Dean Ashton Portsmouth - have money after the takeover, and are going along very well ! Kanu apparently wants out, could be seen as a replacement Chelsea - DOUBTFUL - however - apparently want a good back up player for Drogba Liverpool - Crouch CUD Be on his way, have been linked 2 Benty in the past so u never know....... ur views all ? lets have a good chat

Read earlier think it was on twtd that its 20% of the fee less the 2.6m already paid so 7m - 2.6 = 4.4m x 20% = £880,000
i reckon £9m would be a realistic offer in which case wed net £1.28 million
Anyway whatever happens its good to see my accountancy degree is payin off

If some of the fringe players want to leave then fair enough, we can cash in on them.
Weve got the makings of a good squad so its important we dont sell any first team players off

I'm getting confused with Pardew being in charge of Charlton and Curbishley being in charge of West Ham. But, money. Hurray! If he goes anywhere else. I mean, if Charlton get relegated, he's not going to want to play Championship football again is he?

BBC sport rumours today - chelsea put off by 18m price tag -Bent would prefer to to spurs who will offer davenport + cash Imagine if chelsea did pay 18m just so no one else could have him like they did to swp We would recieve £3,080,000 in cold hard cash You might not like sheepshanks but u gotta admit hes been very shrewd in negotiating these sell on clauses

I read somewhere Chelsea were going to put in an offer for Bent.
However, that may have been in a dream as I can't seem to remember where I saw it...

Don't think he will until the end of the season. If Charlton go down, Bent will be first player out the door, if they stay up I reckon he'll stay

While bored in Pyshics, me and another Ipswich fan started talking about Bent on the move (and also this whole Amsterdam thing.) and she said that she's heard that someone might offer £18 million for him.
Well, 18 x 0.2 = 3.6
That'd be very nice... However, very unlikely. Well, we can dream...
