The state of this world really does saddens me at times. Me too.

Suspected motive was that he had just been dumped Ridiculous You mean they're not trying to pin it on Deep Purple/Marilyn Manson/Slipknot/whoever this time? I'll never understand the mindset of anyone who can do that though... (The shooting, not the accusations...)

I feel sorry for the person who dumped the guy. How guilty must he/she feel! If only they hadn't dumped him, all these people wouldn't have died! Must be feeling truly awful, even though it isn't their fault.

Here's your killer ladies & gent's just goes to proove you never know who the crazy people are out there among you. OG how do you feel about guns? That would never happen over here because guns are so inacessable, apart from possibly Nottingham and some parts of south London guns just aren't around. I think your consitution doesn't apply to the modern time and is ridiculous, how about you?

Yeah well the fact is guns are almost non-existant over here comapred to the US. But the US is a huge country though, if you look at it, we have stricter laws here on guns, so instead people use knives.

That's right imagine if that guy when into that school with a knife, I tell you what if he managed to kill more than one person I'd be suprised. Guns need to funk off and America needs to sort it out.
(the size of the country has nothing to do with it though Han)

It's a shame that they feel the need to defend themselves, they need to realise that guns are the cause of these problems.
It's also a shame they probably won't realise.

(the size of the country has nothing to do with it though Han) Well it kinda does, because if you look at it, Britain is tiny in comparison and surely there are the same amount of guns used for gaming and stuff in the whole country than just in one city in America.

Spot on Neko, it is all about interpretation. Thing is that generalised state the whole amendment is open to interpretation and therefore this shit will happen again and again over there. Face facts, US will not change it's constitution so all Americans will continue to have the right to bear arms. (Not short sleeved shirts, guns..) NRA had a spokesman on Fox news that stated if the students all had guns they could have protected themselves.... I say type ' stupid american' into youtube or thatvideosite.com and tell me if you want these idiots living next to you.... With guns!!!! well its in the constitution that they all have the right to bear arms and that seems to be prized more than the lives of thier children. Boogles the mind really, it may be that I'm British and a bit stiff upper lipped about the whole thing but come on how many more American Kids will they bury before something is done about it. The second amendment actually says that all "well drilled militia" have the right to bear guns. Last I was aware, ordinary citizens aren't well-drilled militia - but I guess it's up to the law-makers to interpret it correctly

To Be Honest:
I've got no problem with guns, I carry but then again my job requires me to have one.
A little thing I always tell people Gun's don't kill people, It's the PERSON (stupid or otherwise) behind the gun that kills you.
What needs to be done over here is each person who applies for a gun license needs to be thoroughly evaluated prior to being able to purchase a gun.
I am definately NOT in favor with a bunch of students carrying guns. There is NO PLACE for guns on a college / high school / middle school or elementary campus.

It's not about the amount Han it's about the proportion.

It's ridiculous that such a 'hot button issue' is never directly addressed by those in power; I appreciate any opposition to the current guns laws would be met with huge opposition but it just can't continue! Again I appreciate it is a constitutional right to 'bear arms' and there are so many interpretations of that, but when will people just use common sense on this? How many more innocent people have to be killed before something major is changed.
Charlton Heston and the NRA should fuck right off.

To be fair OG it is being blown out of all proportion over here, not the tradegy that happened but the right to carry guns... News sites are saying that an estimated 1 in 3 adult americans carry a gun which is downright stupid. It might be the case that there are a percentage of adults that have a concealed weapons licence but that doesn't mean that they carry a gun and the numbers are way off too. You may be able to buy a gun in wal-mart or academy in Houston or San Antonio but it's not like you pull it off the shelf in a blister pack. You still have to have a background check, same as if you bought it in a pawnshop.. (a reputable one anyway). Certain places should be gun free, schools being one of them. Even if everyone who purchases a firearm is subject to rigorous back ground checks, who's to say a perfectly 'normal' person isn't going to turn into a complete crazed maniac? The constitutional right will never be taken away, even Dubya isn't stupid enough to even attempt that but even if amendments were made, you can't predict how someone with a gun will act after they've got one.
