Okay so I know its controversial but how many of us actually think he's the man to lead us back to the Prem?

Would you like to expand a bit on that Lollipop?

Ha sorry.
Yes I do think he should stay. The only things he's done wrong are playing Healy out of position and the 4-5-1. I think KB has now realised that 4-5-1 just doesn't work.

NO, not good enough, he'll be gone by Christmas! He's tactically inept, can't choose a team, and inspires no confidence. He should have been sacked for the performance in the playoff final alone!
BUT, he has turned this club around and I appreciate that, he did well stabilizing and rebuilding us, but he's not the man to take us into the prem.

Hmm, Interesting analysis... Do you not think his team selections have left a lot to desire..particularly in the play off final?

Hmm, Interesting analysis... Do you not think his team selections have left a lot to desire..particularly in the play off final? One game. I agree it was quite a game to fook it up. But come on. we finished in the play-offs! We were 3rd or 4th for most of the season! Everyone's talking as if we finished in a crap position. Blackwell has assembled a team good enough to get promotion. Yes, some of his signings and tactics have been questionable. but I for one hope he stays and gets us to the promised land.

I agree with both viewpoints! Whilst credit must be given to KB for what he has done so far, I am unsure whether he has the nous to take us further. I will be interested to see what he does with the midfield without Miller and Douglas.
If we aren't challenging by Xmas I could see him being dismissed. Maybe unfair but football is a business

You're possibly right. Which is crazy IMO. If a club fires a manager after 6 games, there must have been doubt about keeping him in the first place. In which case, better to get someone new in place before the season starts

Im up for him staying and having another shot at it......but then if he does go i wont be gutted about it....would love to see a Strachan or O'Neill take over but i doubt it....we need young hungry manager and its a little gutting to think we had Boothy right under our noses

Gary Mcallister would be a good guy also I'm not saying I want KB to go, just think he's a crap tactician and bottles it when needed most.... Would love to see a fresh face getting involved also. Garry McAllister would be brill or cool or whatever the modern saying is!

His wife died a couple of months ago, so I doubt he'd be up for it.

His wife died a couple of months ago, so I doubt he'd be up for it. Sometimes a challenge comes along at the right time....he'll want to get back into the game at some point...if Leeds United comes calling he would not turn it down mate not having played for us.....he loves the club....maybe he could bring back Gary Speed also

I'm not so sure about McCallister . Remember him telling everyone that he was happy at Leeds and was staying , when all along he had been speaking to Coventry City and looking for a house their. He hasn't that much experience either ( an average time as Coventry manager ) Remember the last time we were down and tried ex players , it did'nt work and we were in the old division 2 for ages. It was not until we got a tried and trusted manager (Wilkinson ) that we got promoted .

To be honest, i don't think Blackwell is the right man for us........ the Championship is going to much tougher next season and we need a much mroe convincing man to lead our team.....
My main problems with him are-
- Motivational Skills -Poor Tactics -Buys too many strikers, waste of money -Got an excuse for everything
But to be fair he has turned our club around, i just can't see him taking it any further..... however i am prepared to let him have 1 mroe season to prove me wrong, if we don't go up next season he has to go.....
