I am so bored of Holloway coming out with this crap every time we lose when it clearly isn't true. Creating opportunities is our major problem. On Coventry's penalty: "But I don't think I have ever seen such an unbelievable decision.
"I don't think anyone in the ground knew what he had given it for. There was nothing in it at all.
"I feel for the boys because that was a ludicrous decision."Okay, not a good decision, but blaming the ref AGAIN, I'm fed up of it. It happened in the 32nd minute, and the fact that we folded and gave up upon conceding AGAIN is not acceptable. That is the real problem, 5 goals in 10 away games, never winning when we concede, and frankly not looking much like getting an equaliser. Putting the blame squarely on the referee just gives the players an excuse for an inept performance. 5000 away fans at Coventry and the players not up for it. Its a local derby. Unacceptable. Besides, not every decision this season has gone against us. Watford wrongly down to 10 men - we still lose. Fouling the goalkeeper in the build up to our goal v West Brom, we still lose. we were lucky to beat Palace, and lucky to get points v Norwich and Burnley away. Time to address the real issues. "Matt Oakley had a shot blocked; That's the way it has been going for us" Good God, he didn't did he!? Outrageous! "We were trying to climb a mountain" Hmm 1-0 down after 1/2 an hour to a crap team who had just lost 5-0, while we had just beat a team 4-0. "If these boys weren't trying then I would have a go at them" Perhaps time to have a go then because they are better than that. Ollie: P20 W5 D5 L10 He's signed players, got rid of ones supposedly not good enough. Must do much better.

Maybe it's true that he's all mouth no trousers. Look at how Plymouth have shot up the league since he left!

Just because he writes columns for various websites/publications doesn't mean everyone believes what he says. He seems to have got this reputation for straight talking so thinks folk will take in what he says.

To be fair H, Plymouth were 4th when he left, so the foundations were maybe in place for Sturrock...though I'm sure the Plymouth fans would disagree. Good point Chops. He is always talking about something when he needs to do the talking on the pitch. Frankly, his record has been dismal, and he has had more than enough time to find some sort of improvement. Hopefully our improving home form will carry us through to the end, though it is concerning that teams around us have games in hand. I'm just annoyed that since being here he has blamed the players (collectively and individually), previous managers, the mood of the club as a whole, referees, luck, supporters, the Plymouth thing, the pitch and the weather for poor defeats, and not put any responsibility on himself. I don't want a managerial change again (not yet anyway), but he really needs to keep quiet and buck up his ideas.

Sounds like you're primed for Kevin Blackwell to take over!

I wouldn't want to deprive Mort of all that though. Hmm theres a bonus I guess. I suppose it doesn't really matter what they say...what matters are the performances and results...I hope Macca puts them right...but I had my doubts over him stepping into such a big job from the off. As for here, we've gone backwards. At least Megson made us hard to beat, and played to our strengths, even if it was turgid stuff.

We're still trying to identify possible strengths. Best case senario if you go down Ash.....decent loking games against Leeds and the Trees, and a derby match at Sixfields.

Come back Wise, all is forgiven? ;D Hmm I don't quite see it like that, besides, the Trees might be going up. I would very much enjoy a game against Northampton, I've never seen us play them. Not much of a rivalry then, but its down my neck of the woods so I would enjoy a win very much!

Might be best that you don't come dwon, there might not be enough room in this division for Mandaric's and Bates's egos.
