Oh dear, here we go ...
A club in administration, and the transfer window is upon us. I guess it's inevitable, but what good players we have are likely to go at knock-down prices.
So far the rumours are:
Coyne to Colchester Brill to QPR Edwards to Nottm Forest

I would take Edwards & Bell as mentioned before Derek without a seconds thought. Our chief scout has been watching these two. I don't know if we will sign them esp.Edwards may be out of the running. Brill has enormous potential a la Kelvin Davies at the same age. Real pity for developing so many talents that the club is where it is. Shame on the FA for not allowing you loanees. So much for helping the footballing family. & seeing Coynes red card appeal as frivolous.

Yes, agree with all of that, OHN.
'Ding-dong' Bell is another player that could be on his way.
If we do lose three or four players, we may not be able to get out of relegation.

We're just starting to get our act together, now that KB's worked out that 4-4-2 might - just might - be a formation more likely to get goals than 4-5-1. We've now only lost once in our last 12 games (including cup games), and have won six of those - that's survival form, which is really encouraging for us. Closed the gap on the teams immediately above us today too!
If we can hold on to our key players - I'd certainly say Bell, Brill and Edwards - then we'll have a chance of survival (I'd say we'd be looking good for survival, but we can't extend our current loans). Without them, we're almost certainly doomed.
Coyne is an immensely important player for us, but Keane and Perry have looked good at the back together recently - his loss would be a blow, but not as severe as the three above.

Peschi's - officially - out injured for the rest of the season. If you believe rumours that're going round now, though, he tore his contract up after a disagreement with Blackwell or something like that. That said, we all know how rumours are in football, and frankly you'd expect a player to go to the press about something like that nowadays Remind me who the others are?

How are the derby lads doing Neko??? Gresley, I guess you mean Currie? Actually he's not too bad, he has started to run around a bit now He passes the ball well and has a good shot on him, but he does like to have ten touches on the ball, and he got caught in possession too often today against Yeovil. I think League One is probably his standard, in the preesent crisis, see above, he'll be ok for us for a while.

Gonna give you Luton boys a heads up on this but do not be surprised if we are one of those vultures!
The news on the grapevine (and this is supposidly from a very reliable source too) is that we have had a bid for a player accepted by your club
Don't know who, don't know what position and don't know the price but watch this space.

Thieving bastards There'd better be 7 figures attached to that bid! Yes, Gres, Jackson did, though I really don't know if he's injured, had much of a look-in, playing every match or what Somehow, he's completely slipped my radar! Cahill, it's Dave Edwards

They can have him for a six-figure fee! Good player on his day, but a bit workshy and prone to long spells of indifference - exactly what we don't need right now. Maybe he'll pick himself up if he plays for a 'big club'? Guess we'll never know, mind

After the interview with KB on 3CR following the win against yeovil, it was confirmed that bids had been received for Chris Coyne from Colchester and a second bid from Forest for Edwards. By all accounts, though, the administrator flatly refused them, saying that the offers were nowhere near the players' worth. Looks like we may not get taken for a ride after all!
