The latest I've heard regarding the Leeds bid is that it's a 300k bid for a non-first team striker.
Peschi or McVeigh, maybe? I'd take that for either of them!

Lots of sources are suggesting Leeds are offering £300k for Morgan, which'd be a great deal for us - a high-paid, low-performance 'star' off the books, for a six-figure fee! I don't know why everywhere seems to be referring to him as a striker though; IIRC, he's a winger who can play up front!
£750k for Bell would be really disappointing, IMO - that's probably a reasonable valuation, but given that we won't be able to replace him, he's worth much more than that to us!

I'd offer 1.25M for Bell immediately plus you can have Kabba for free.

I'd offer 1.25M for Bell immediately plus you can have Kabba for free. £1.5m would be impossible to refuse, given our current finances - I'll give you a Mars bar if you keep Kabba though

Sorry, Neko, FA rules prevent us from spending Mars bars while we're in administration I heard Saturday we need about 1.3million to keep going until any takeover of the club. Even though it hurts to sell Bell, if we can get most of that from one player, it's got to be better than selling say 4 players at 300,000. And yes, Morgan can go.

Oh, that 1.3m doesn't matter - Mr Pinkney said he'll cover us from his own pocket until we're out of admin, remember? What about if we sold Morgan, Langley, McVeigh and Peschi for 300k each?

This is on the BBC 606 forum - not sure that I believe it, but it's a nice thought!

Just a thought; don't we have something like a 12.5% sell-on clause for Davies? So if WBA would hurry up and sell him for the reported 10m, that's 1.25m for the club...

Pinkney isn't covering players' wages, I think it's just 'staff'. Morgan, Langley, McVeigh and Peschi for 300k each sounds like an excellent deal to me!! Just a thought; don't we have something like a 12.5% sell-on clause for Davies? So if WBA would hurry up and sell him for the reported 10m, that's 1.25m for the club... Neko; I've been told there are two sell-on clauses that could come to us. One is Curtis Davis, as you say, and the other is ..... and I admit I'd forgotten about it ... Matt Taylor if and when he leaves Portsmouth. They'd cover 1.3mill, get your fingers out WBA and Pompey!!

Ah, yes! I'd recalled that a few days ago, but only half-consciously - the question is, would they sell him with the ACON coming up? They'll need the cover, I'd have thought, and would therefore rather let go in the summer.
Still, if a good enough offer comes in...

Morgan just scored for Southend today. 2 goals actually.
Still don't want him Neko?

Quite certain. He's on Championship wages - probably very good Championship wages, given the previous board's habits - and we can't afford that right now. Further to that, we've had 2 years of seeing him have maybe one good game in 15, and that's no good to us at all.

Gonna give you Luton boys a heads up on this but do not be surprised if we are one of those vultures! The news on the grapevine (and this is supposidly from a very reliable source too) is that we have had a bid for a player accepted by your clubDon't know who, don't know what position and don't know the price but watch this space. Well what do you know, it was true.

Well what do you know, it was true. You poor things ;D The only hope I hold is that he sees the opportunity as a fresh start and takes a new attitude into our club. With all due respect to Luton, he's at a club where there is nowhere to hide and the fans are awfully demanding. Big crowds, big personalities in charge, he'll have a certain weight of expectation on him and pressure, whether he rises to it or not remains to be seen. If he gets off to a good start, he'll soon have the fans chanting his name and it may rejuvinate him into the player Wisey thinks he can be. If not, he'll be another addition to our weekday reserve team.

Well, he's been a miserable sulking brat at pretty much every team he's ever been at, by all accounts. Good luck changing that, but I feel this is a case of 'leopard' and 'spots'

Portsmouth midfielder Matt Taylor will decide this week whether to move to Sunderland or Bolton, who have both had a £3.5m bid accepted. (Daily Mail) Huzzah! IIRC, there's approximately a 10% sell-on clause on him, so that's another month's wages for our boys!
