Colchester right-back Greg Halford will be the subject of a bidding battle between Sheffield United and Reading. (Various) He'd be a great signing! CAV..slightly off subject, but there is a back log of 'Honest Opinions' mate..punters are getting restless! P.S i agree about Halford..would be a good signing!

I agree. Cureton could do a job for us I wonder why we ever let him go. Don't talk garbage Cureton is not premier quality! not saying he is prem quality.....BUT.... people said he wasnt championship quality when he was with us..now look... some players pull strange things out the box when at different clubs. cureton was and still is a very good striker. but maybe not a good target for january

I have to agree he was not as good as thought. A good mate of mine is a Stoke fan and he was gutted when he left but said he was a bit lazy

yeah mate, ive seen him play in the reserves loads of times and he quite simply doesnt look like he gives a fook about trying to get into the 1st team. and when ever he does he shows hints of the skills he has but is sooooooooooo damn sloppy and complaisent

in all honesty (and i do agree with you about him) i dont see coppell getting rid of halls. no matter how bad he is we need defensive cover... if we sign mensah and mate makes a dramatic recovery then possibly. as for long...50/50 on that...he needs it for sure, hes got buckets of potential but needs first team action..but with kitson out for the next decade our front line is looking a bit thin

West Bromwich Albion striker Diomansy Kamara claims he is being courted by Reading, but would prefer to return to Italy.
Kamara has scored 12 goals in the Championship this season, but appears to be hankering after a January move.
Prior to the opening of the transfer window, the Senegal international's agent revealed Roma were keen to take Kamara back to Serie A.
A fee of £2.8million was mooted for the ex-Modena ace, although Tony Mowbray is aiming to keep his best players at The Hawthorns.
However, Kamara has admitted Reading are considering making an offer to take him back to the Premiership.
Torino are also on the radar and the 26-year-old concedes he would rather go back to Italy than join Reading.
"Italy has been fundamental in my life and I can't wait to return," Kamara is quoted in the News of the World.
"Reading are really after me, but I would prefer Torino."
