If people chose Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross as broadcasters who were to be the moral glue that held the very fabric of society together, then more fool them. Both Brand and Ross have on air personnas, which effectively have them set up as naughty 12 year old boys, making unending (and mainly unfunny, in my opinion) gags about knobs and toilets, and winding people up. While I feel a little sorry Andrew Sachs, I'm sure that he's had worse things happen to him in life. As for his granddaughter, someone who wants privacy doesn't hire Max Clifford. She can't be overly worried about her reputation in anyone's eyes (her grandfathers included), as I can't be the only poster on here who received a well known weekly e-mail circular with pics of her in an committing some very intimate acts to film for posterity. There were only 2 complaints initially, so all this situation proves is the medias ability to whip up a moral shitstorm in a hurry. Which is ironic as the tabloids (which are pushing this hardest) are hardly the guardians of the nations morality. Was what Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, big or clever ...... no, in the grand scheme of things is it important ........ no, I think the worst crime they committed was that what they did just wasn't funny.
Frankie Boyle is a legend, his comment about the cost of a state funeral for Maggie Thatcher actually made me cry laughing!! ;D

If its fair to say Russell Brand's fame is in large part born out of publicity (often bad) which has had a roll on effect of giving him a well-paid career, is it not also fair that a similar roll on effect has cost him a job.....?
