I've got memories of going to a Copa Sudamericana match in Bolivia. Absolutely cracking atmosphere. In all likelihood, Peru will lose if you take the fact they're bottom of the table into account, but the experience it'll be........
Although slightly worrying that I'll have never have watched England live, but manage to make it halfway round the world to watch another international!

The experience will be amazing, totally amazing.
Watching games on TV, or on these streams that are available on the internet nowadays is alright, but you'll never really understand just what the atmosphere is really like until you get out there and sample a game! Hopefully me and some friends of mine shall be able to sort out a trip over and check it out, it's something i've wanted to do for a while!

Hopefully me and some friends of mine shall be able to sort out a trip over and check it out, it's something i've wanted to do for a while! Believe me, it is. There was something about looking over behind one of the goals to a packed terrace with a sign at the front saying 'Los Ultras' and people bouncing up and down as one. Liverpool can have their Kop, Villa their Holte End etc, but that really looked something else. It's even just the little things that add to the experience. The 'seats' were actually concrete blocks and you had people walking around outside the ground selling slabs of polystyrene as cushions. Plus, the prices. Bolivia's the poorest country in South America I think and it was well and truly reflected. I bought a scarf for 9 Bolivianos (about 60p at the time) and 50 Bolivanos (£3.50-odd) for a 'seat' in the 'Preferado' section of the ground. Compare that with being at home just 4 days later and paying £4/5 to watch Alvechurch!

.... i don't think you've exactly picked the English Grounds with the best atmos. there to be fair Pete. Liverpool's Kop is full of glory supporters, The Holte is full of Brummies.....

Too many newcomers who find the very start of a chant upsetting , or embarassed by 'coarse ' language. Plus as at Watford the stewards do their leel best to eject anyone who tries to get an atmosphere going. All far too sanitised. At least in South America its as its ever been raw , passionate with a fair dose of madness and lunacy thrown in ,courtesy of the thuggish ultras.

I meant the so called equivalents of the ul;tras ie the nobs who rushed out of the Vic end charging into the Lower Rous. Least we wont have be having any Duggie Brimson types either.

Looks like Argentina will need two play-offs to reach the finals - first Montevideo and then the CONCACAF two-legger, though it still depends on Uruguay getting a result in Quito.
