That first category of people are very few and far between IMHO. Most come over here to benefit scrounge and use the NHS, with a free house thrown in for good measure. Government may have set high targets for building, its ok setting them but make sure they are achieved is the hard bit and where they are failing. Yes it is my perception and thats what matters surely? People being stamped to death worries me, and its happening far to often. You know i told you i have been assaulted twice at work let alone walking the streets, people think its the norm. I can still kick ass, middle aged or not Wasnt aiming that at you m8, *cough, yellow box junction still not there* .....Councils becoming more customer focused, sry that made me choke on my toast .....and as for internal figures they can be manipulated to show whatever they want Fair enough but that's an opinion - maybe a cynical one! As for the targets - Gov't sets them and then it's up to Local Authorities to build/source the housing with developers. If targets aren't achieved in the medium term our funding gets cut. Well yes and no, tbh I'd rather you weren't petrified but that matters less than you actually being safe! Responsibility for the discipline of children always begins at home, and only if parents cannot cope should the state intervene and put them in care/boot camp! I'm sure you can fella Hehe You told me to forget about that! Well we are, heaven knows Councils must have been awful in the 80s from what I gather!! No mate, targets have to be based on facts, honestly I'm not trying to bullshit you here!!!

If you can't see that this country is in real trouble then you are blinded by plastic labour. Whilst the issues at hand are not of their making ie the sub prime lending and NR the proposed way of dealing with it is not structured and could lead to further issues.

Yes my opinion, everyone has one, its why i think this countrys fucked ............but not cynical Surely if the Local Authorities dont meet the targets Government should step in and kick some arse, not just sit back and say "well we set the targets" Responsibility does begin at home and then in schools, but with this Governments insistence on the Human Rights Laws us parents and teachers have our hands tied with regard to discipline. Kids can do whatever they want and you cant do a thing about it, and they know that. I will never believe in internal figures from any establishment when it is in regard to itself............now you can call me cynical ;D

Keep telling me I'm a blind fool, it's just what you accuse me of - failing to engage in the issues! Why so aggressive Hurls, we're just having a little chat! I realise that the economic issue is the real threat, the other stuff is mostly bleating. However as you have agreed these problems are not of the Government's making and I see no reason to believe that Cameron and his fellow boyscouts would be better able to pull us out of the fiscal morass!

I said, if funding is cut that does kick arse - it means job losses, changes of administration and personnel! Are you saying "bring back the birch" Kev?! You have a point there, it is ironic seeing as apparently it's not manslaughter if you butcher someone who tries to break in but you can't smack your kids if they misbehave... Yep... very cynical! I'm not just talking about my Council though, it's good but there are better ones......

I may come accross aggressive, it's only because as with your labour piers you don't listen and this will be their demise. And the votes reflect this!
Er Jules the issue is here and on us, but thats just one thing about the country at the moment. I'm still astounded at what darling has done with the low earners tax. It's quite insulting that Brown thoughout his career gives something and hails it a bonus but at the same time takes something away!
People will never forgive Blair for the illegal war and the innocents that have been killed and all for nothing - he should be brought to trial for that.
I'm rambling but your days in power are numbered

Their women are beautiful and their men provide excellent plumbing/building/electrical/etc! 3) Well if there is no work for them they are entitled to a helping hand from the state, I hope that they are taking full advantage of the training opportunities put their way?! 4) It's not easy to run the NHS but if it didn't exist you'd not be able to afford to see a doctor when you need one. Superbugs are not the Government's fault, that's the nature of disease, it adapts to prevent overpopulation! 5) I'm just saying a housing price crash is what a lot of young people want - as then maybe you would be able to afford something decent. Personally I'd not be happy as I would lose my shirt if prices really do dip that far, but I don't go around trying to say that's the Government's fault!

Jules I agree with you. The majority of this country have been brain washed by the Daily Mail type media in to believing that the country is fucked. When have any of these issues actually affected any of you or people you know?
Immigration hasn't stopped me getting health care, getting a job or buying a home. I'm not affected by the crime now any more than I was 10 years ago. It's all a myth that this country has gone to the dogs.
And remember I spend nearly everyday in Brixton (regarded as one of the most dangerous parts of Britain) and I've not once felt uncomfortable.
