Right as pomised: Traveled by Car so I've got no idea how easy it is to find after traveling by train. Stewards were all very friendly, didn't mind us standing for large parts of the game, the first time I entered the ground they showed me to my seat as I noticed they were doing with a lot of other fans as well, good to see that as usually stewards are appalling. Never seen this before....during the first half, as normally seen in American sports, some guy was walking up and down the aisles in the away end trying to sell people Chips, was quite odd to see that. The leg room was not too bad either to be fair, but because the ground has big holes in the corner(That IMO need to be filled in), it was quite chilly(Didn't notice it too much in the first half as I spent a lot of it going mental ). The stand to the left of the away end is shocking, one very old section and a bit that looked like temporary seating needs to be sorted out ASAP!! At half time, it was very full around the concourses, and there were hardly any toilets which wasn't great to be honest. The Home fans made an effort for the 1st 5 minutes but then pretty much gave up and were nigh on silent for the rest of the game, and Watford were an extremely poor side. Didn't try any food so not too sure on how that was. Stadium Rating: 6/10.

These aren't championship, but some of them could be relevant for next season. Couldn't be arsed with a new thread; Carlisle- Brunton Park Went by official coach for this one, so can't comment on pubs/city centre. Near the ground there was an excellent sandwich shop, that I can recommend to anyone- great value and very tasty, just ask a steward and they'll probably be able to direct you. The ground itself is very traditional and old, with one modern stand and 3 older mainly terraced stands. I was fortunate enough to be in the modern stand which has good facilities and legroom, the only drawback being that the stand extends past the pitch, so if you're unlucky you can have a better view of the car park than the pitch. Half our allocation was on the terraced stand, next to the modern stand which was open and has only a few seats and limited facilities. In cold weather, wrap up! My favourite thing about Brunton Park was seeing 16000 people stood and bouncing up and down on the terraces. This really was a spectacle and the atmosphere was excellent (coincidence? Standing = atmosphere). Stewarding was relaxed- we weren't asked to sit at all. Policing was over the top as nearly always- I recall seeing around 20 police in full riot gear and with horses escorting about 10 chavs to the ground, which was slighly unnecessary! I'd give it a 9/10, although my opinion may have been different if I were on the terracing. One of my favourite away games to date. Hartlepool- The Victoria GroundParked in a public carpark, for free next the ground, with it being a bank holiday. Drank/ate pre-match in the club's members bar (fuck knows how we got in- although we weren't in colours), it was a 12 kick off so we couldn't be bothered finding a pub. The food was good value, it was a nice little place, and the officials and 'WAG's' were all eating in there. It was quite small, so to get in you'll have probably need to get there early. The stand is tiny, holding just short of 1000. The toilets and food facilities are equally inadequate- struggling to cope with the amount of fans in it. The legroom is probably the only decent thing, being one of the most generous I've seen. There are a number of supporting pillars (with seats directly behind them), so the view is pretty poor. The atmosphere was also dire, considering it was their biggest crowd of the season. Both stewarding and policing were relaxed. Also, Hartlepool isn't the most pleasant place, the locals aren't the friendliest either. 4/10 pretty poor, to be polite. Swansea- Liberty StadiumMade the mistake of going by official coach for this one There's no parking around the ground, so a park and ride scheme operates. The main problems being that some 'travellers' to be p.c. had set up on the park and ride car park- I wouldn't leave my car there and the painfully long wait for a police escort. When the police escort arrived, we set towards the Liberty, on the right as you approach the ground is a pub, followed by a chippy, outside of both, were large groups of Swansea fans gesticulating and throwing stuff at the coaches- plod did nothing to stop this. Needless to say I didn't fancy the chippy. I went straight into the ground and ate in there. The ground looks very nice both out and in and it is easily the most attractive of the new grounds I've been to. The concourses are large and there are plenty of outlets and staff to keep the queues (sp?) short. Food was a bit expensive- £5 for an average-quality cheeseburger, chips and a drink. The view of the pitch was very good and legroom was excellent. My favourite aspect of the match was the banter with the home fans over the segregation netting, this got a bit heated- with a worrying surge towards the Swansea fans when we scored, but it was all good fun. The atmosphere was electric, with a near sell-out crowd. Stewarding and policing was ridiculously stupid. The stewards allow the home fans to do what they want- including throwing stuff at us, but if away fans step out of line, they're straight on to you. One steward even pushed a fan down a flight of step. The police were similar- only videoing Leeds fans and ignoring Swansea. They should have also kept us in after the whistle. It was chaos outside after the game, hundreds of chavs and thugs had congregated outside the pub and chippy, lining the road. After sitting in the coach park for 30mins after the game, we drove out and were pelted with bricks etc. Several coaches had windows smashed in, very incompetent policing and very brave of the Swansea fans to attack coaches with familes on. It was quite amusing watching the police batter the Swansea fans, and everytime one got a arrested or the shit kicked out of them, cheers went up on the buses. All that could have been avoided, by keeping the Leeds fans behind after the game. There were similar incidents at the park and ride too. Overall good day, spoilt by the authorities. 7/10 Southend- Roots HallParking was a bit of a problem, but we found a space on a main road, heading out from the ground. We then walked back towards the town. Unusually, there was a pub (The Golden Lion) specifically for Leeds fans, which was quite good. I bought a burger from the burger van parked next to it for £3- not great value. The ground is small and quite traditional, with four huge floodlights. The facilities are cramped and no alcohol is served within the ground. Legroom on the stand itself is shocking, and if you stand on the back-row you have to crouch to see the opposite goal, due to the shape of the roof. There are also supporting posts, for further annoyance. What I did like about the stand was the way fans are packed in and the shape of the roof helping the acoustics. At kick off the lights in the stand are turned off, which again gets the atmosphere going. The home fans were quiet for most of the match, which didn't help the atmosphere. Southend also have the strangest mascot ever Policing and stewarding were both sensible and relaxed. 7/10

Blackpool = -10000000/10
Place stinks of shit, ground is right near the sea so you almost get blown off the stand, the stand is ridiculously unstable when you have three drunk guys next to you jumping up and down for the whole game.

Nah not the sainsbury... I know you what you mean though - went in there last season and bought some pre-match doughnuts cos we got to the ground like 2 hours before kick off and was still hungry, after having some chinese from across the road. The tesco was near the train station... they were having clearances on alcohol, so all the saints fans on the way home rushed in for cheap booze and there was absolute chaos. ;D

Coventry is such a shite away day.
The Stadium is in the middle of no-where, there are no pubs within reasonable walking distance.
Very quiet fans etc.
Been there twice now and it's definitely a get out the car, go to the game, back in the car and straight home jobby.

these r all the grounds have been to:
1 norwich - when i went (about 7 years ago) it didnt look 2 great, but now theres a new stand(or tier or something) its a gd improvment. rating - 7
2. wolves - scummy place, thugs of fans, but the winner from 25 yards made that day out very sweet. When we scored (bout 75mins) half the ground walked out. such loyal fans! - 8(not including the fans, just how much i enjoyed the win!)
3. millenium stadium - what a day! Best ground i've been to, won 1-0 over rival west ham, prem here w ecome, fantastic facilitites too - 10
4. southampton- was average, the home support wasnt great, all u heard occasionally was 'when the saints', blah blah blah. - 7
5. brum - naf support, not the best of gourns, was ok i suppose had to wait quite long to get anything to eat tho. - 6
6. charlton - what can i say, we won. local derby, ground was alrite, but away end sucked. Bad facilities have to wait outside to get a hot dog or something! - 6 and a half
7. pompey - the pitch bk then was horrific, the ground then was awful, but home fans were quite gd actually. - 7ish
8. reading - fans r nice outside i thought but support insside was quite poor really. both times i have been tho was fun - 8
9. watford - def enjoyed that - shame home fans didnt sing all game. nice-ish pubs, nice fish and chips place 5 mins away, but we palace fans were great that day. we brightened up that naffish ground, but i still liked i somehow - 8
10 - man city was gd, ground itself is great, i thought the facilties were alaso quite well organised. gd day out - 8
11. hull - as i've said, was fun and one of my fav days. it was fun letting off all those balloons, the hull fans didnt know wat had hit them!
12. millwall - scummy place scummy fans, alrite stadium, however old 1 was c rap. at the station the fans were throwing glass bottles at us. i wondered if thats some sort of sport? - 1
13. spurs - gd ground, average fans, lost so downed the day a bit, but was fun none the less. - 7
14. palace - wat do you expect me to say? the best 4 me by far! i dont care wat anyone else says, my choice, Eaagglesss! lol - 11
