Alonso and Bellamy are supposedly among six or seven players leaving Anfield after the European Cup Final. Rafael Benitez is probably interested in Norris and Buzsaky... ...and Nick Chadwick

Better Newcastle, for nicky. He'd do well next to Michael Owen. Both strong, hardy fellows...

David Norris to quit football.
David Norris, the popular diminutive Championship midfielder for Plymouth Argyle, has declared that he is hanging up his boots. Although only 37 on his next birthday, Norris feels now that his best days are behind him and he wants to leave the professional game whilst still at the comparative top.
Norris joined the West Country club in the late Seventies and proved an instant hit, masterminding Argyle's seven consecutive promotions with his energetic and dynamic displays. Now Norris is looking to build a new career that will allow him to spend more time with his 15 children. He has trained as an Occupational Therapist looking to assist the staff in Plymouth's Derriford Hospital.
"There is a huge amount of strain in the NHS", said Norris (5'3") yesterday, "and many of the staff are close to breaking point. I am hoping to add fresh opportunities for those people to experience one to one counselling with a trained and caring professional. In addition I am hoping that I might be able to add to their relaxation by complementing my new skills with some of the massage and reflexology techniques I developed in professional sports.
It is a whole new and exciting challenge."
