It's not being released to public circulation yet though is it? Does it mean our current £20 notes will soon become worthless? Looks too much like a shit Euro note to me.

It comes into circulation today, and the old ones are gonna be "gradually" phased out. They'll probably still be valid for at least a year; there just won't be any new ones printed - banks will trade them in for the new design, and eventually they'll become common-place. Still think it looks crap
