Its in the other thread from the game yesterday. At first some of us fans thought King had gone AWOL or had a falling out perhaps with AB & then the hammerblow sounded. Just means the directors will have to look at forking up some extra cash come January & perhaps a phone call to Dwight(I'm sure he could spare us some royalties). Darius as you Royals will know just lacks that extra touch of pace & skill that would have kept him on at the Madjeski. Young could be tried as a shadow striker or even Tommy Smith and maybe Bouazza Thing is they are rarely prolific though switiching Bouazza to a central role might yield results with his sheer pace. To be honest none of the reserve team strikers are making claims for a spot either. Priskin will take a whole season to bed in & may not even be here come 2006/7. But (cliche time ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) its a team game & no one player decides how well we will suceed. Still its a real bummer.King has the ability to fashion something out of almost nothing.

It's not good but we hav'nt truly missed him.
He worked hard but never really produced the form he did last season (West Ham game asside) and we have plenty of players that can miss chances just as easily.

Funny you say 'hammerblow' Ovechkin8, after recent performances does anyone think Bouazza might be able to step upto the plate and get some goals for us?
Agree it is a blow and surely AB will have to get a decent striker in come January, question is, who the hell!?

Bouazza reminds me of Messi (obviously not on the same level). Plenty of pace but not a great finisher definitely lacking calmness at times. Still considering how hards hes worked his performances have been a real bonus & a jump in what he has offered.Gibbo called him the most talented youngster hes worked with but he still really to translate his potential into match winning performances. He'd certainly create panic in oposing defences most of which are slow & lumbering like the Boro but when he gets into a key position like Tommy Smith of old he often muffs it up. Hes got to work on that constantly practising situations & his shooting drills. Its a hammerblow GB in the sense that it forces ABs hand in the transfer market & the King would undoubtedly have scored some goals for us & combines well with Young. Still he'll be refreshed & raring to go for next seasons Prem campaign ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . The transfer market is so inflated domestically for strikers & clubs from abroad charge that bit extra now as well seeing the affluence of the Prem that it'll be atough task to bring in a quality striker aside from the Viking . The directors assuming we're in the fight to stay up will have to revise their spending plans so that AB can reinforce the full back positions.

Quite a choice for a comparison but I can see where your coming from!!!!
And you do seem to know your stuff with the Argentinian leagues so you never know!!! ;D
I think the games he has been involved in has given him a much needed confidence boost, he seems to be more purposeful going forward, whereas at other times he maybe dallied a bit. It can be nothing but good for him.
Well we know what AB is like in the transfer market and I hope he does well again when it comes down to it.
