Defender Clarke Carlisle has emerged as an early injury doubt ahead of Watford's Championship play-off final against Leeds next weekend.
The 26-year-old - who spent 13 months at Elland Road before moving to Vicarage Road last summer - has missed the last three games with a hip problem and scans have revealed the injury is worse than first expected.
Manager Adrian Boothroyd's preparations for next Sunday's showdown at the Millennium Stadium could receive a boost, though, as striker Hameur Bouazza nears full fitness after a spell out with a foot problem.
Well I think DeMerit and Mackay are a better pairing anyway atm so he may not be sorely missed...
