CAV had set up a Leeds United thread on the League 1 Board Ahh that one. Yes, I can understand why that was removed. As most of you know, there's lots of nice banter on here but Cav seems to have a wonderful fascination with Leeds and winding up our fans. We feel it would benefit the board as a whole if Cav toned down his piss taking, as too much of it is likely to put off potential new members from joining. We're not saying (let me make this clear) that we're banning banter, far from it; we just feel there needs to be a certain responsability from all the posters to keep it friendly. Lol the phrase 'Is that too much to ask' comes to mind The way i look at it is like this. I see it as a compliment that we are the topic of discussion daily on the forum. Quite simply, Leeds fucking rock and everyone wants a piece of them! As for all the palava from earlier, Spozz is right you know. People that don't know how posters normally post will naturally take offence and if they do, we as staff have to listen and try and deal with it especially if it puts them off posting. Hardened posters who have been around for a bit who can give it and take it don't have a problem with it, but it would be completely insensitive of us staff to ignore complaints from disgruntled posters. Piss take till your hearts content fellas but perhaps within reason, going OTT is naturally gonna put noses out of joint. Anyway, i think your probably aware when your pushing your luck anyway. Lol i noticed a comment from Cav also on the number of staff we have on here following Leeds. I find this funny considering for the staff situation, you lot all voted in 2 more Leeds fans as mods, now thats fuckin hilarious! ;D

However back to the point of this thread, yes what is the point.........................
I strongly believe that what we're trying to say gets misunderstood as do text's etc., because people are not face to face and can't gauge body language and facial expression. I do think however all banter should be taken in light heart and if it offends then be smart and fire some back.
Don't go and sulk in the corner like a child etc., Still we're all different and thats what makes the world go round. But take it from me, try not to shoot from the hip and think - how would I feel if that was me on the recieving end' and then deliver.
That is the end of Father Hurlocks surmon today, feel free to help yourself to cake on your way out - but leave my wine alone!

Taking the attitude- 'that if people don't like it, they can fuck off' (to put it bluntly) is counter productive, as people do 'fuck off', then we're left with less people posting which at the end of the day is bad for the board and its posters as it's less entertaining. It's not too much to ask to avoid posting blatant wind-ups, is it really? And if people do that we'll get a lot less archived threads, and more active users, making the whole 'board experience' a better one for all. I don't have a problem when it comes to posters having a controversial opinion, and I think it would be wrong to censor them, as everyone can think what they want etc... i beg to differ WALL, i get your point mate BUT on the flip side of it i think the few who are a bit sensative out there have a bad effect on the place too, why should All the rest sit on there hands and watch what they say just in case a complete and utter stranger might not like it........doesnt that make the MB a more dull place if it has been watered down like that?

Welcome in to this nonsense mate! It's not a case of if people don't like it fuck off.. It's a lot easier than that and the last thing any of us want is for people to 'fuck off'. Some people get a kick of winding people up and love to see the reaction. That seem so be what this whole issue is about but there is 7 pages of this being talked about when a PM would/could have sorted it.. And some really funny shit in the smilie battle between Morton and Dudette! Taking the attitude- 'that if people don't like it, they can fuck off' (to put it bluntly) is counter productive, as people do 'fuck off', then we're left with less people posting which at the end of the day is bad for the board and its posters as it's less entertaining.
