One of the leading philanthropic figures of the 21st century is stepping out with a new woman on his arm!
Mike Newell was spotted smooching with none other than Sue Luton both before and after his prime time TV appearance on Sky Sports last night. Sue is currently estimated to be worth about $6million (about £3 million) if she 'goes all the way'.
When grilled by Jamie Rednapp at half-time, Newell played down talk of any serious relationship with Sue, saying that he and Luton were 'just good friends'. But he spoke cryptically about the future, implying that there could be further revelations.
When challenged about Sue's true worth, he became aggresive, blamed every referee and every foreign player, and also claimed that money was of no relevance to him - 'Listen mate, in my time, I've seen to it that has-been keepers like Marlon get put on a two year deal worth £8k a week. I just want to get on with giving money to other people.'
Sue Luton is believed to be closely related to Luton Town Football Club, who are known throughout the football and business world for their unlimited wealth, power and influence.
Newell was previously manager of the football team, and he guided them to successes both on and off the field, establishing a secure future for the club before moving on to undertake voluntary work with the Association for Female Assistant Referees.
