You see that's funny because I don't necessarily have to fancy someone immediately but if I get to know their personality and sense of humour I become more attracted to them because of that. Jules can be funny! I think it's an initial thing for men, then when you get to know someone you walk away. I've approached stunning girls got talking and found out that they're completely vacuous and pretended to go and get drinks and left the building! It's all about hitting that balance, I don't think I'd feel threatened by someone being funnier - but an intellectual balance is important - otherwise what are you going to have in common! You could argue that men also feel threatened by women who earn more than them

i don't like "skinny" women...... probably cos i'm skinny..... not that i like fat woman - urggh! It's funny you tend to see big girls with skinny men! I'm with you though big girls are just a turn off, I think they don't respect themselves either

On the skinny vs big front, I'd definitely rather have a little too much than not enough. Given a choice between rolls or xylophone ribs, it's rolls every time for me, though like most of you I'd much prefer something nearer the middle of the range (since we're being shallow! ;D). I like something I can actually cuddle up to Ditto on the make-up front - my ex was awful for that. I always found her more attractive without any make-up on at all, but she'd insist on having at least some even if we were just lounging round the house. I mean, fair enough, going out clubbing or whatever is one thing, but...

I'm with you though big girls are just a turn off, I think they don't respect themselves either its all a bit psychological, i think. if someone is skinny but don't wish to be, such as myself, they seem to follow one of 2 view points: 1) being skinny is unattractive, but how on earth can you let yourself get fat, urgh! - that being something very foreign or 2) being skinny is unattractive, i wish to be fatter, so being fat is attractive.

Actually, while we're on this topic, I think all those women's fashion mags have a lot to answer for There are so many girls I've spoken to that've been amazed when I say that most guys really aren't all that interested in these super-skinny, bleached-blonde, big-breasted, slutty-dressing girls you get in them, as far as potential girlfriends are concerned - and I mean I've really had to fight to convince them of it. I've had to pull up websites like Nuts and FHM and say, "Look! See? Those girls actually have some curves and flesh on them!" As a clinching point? "Those magazines are all run by power-hungry women and gay men; how the fuck would they know what a man wants in a woman?" Stupid bastard things (The mags, not my friends)

Interesting, but you're not born fat, you make yourself fat. It's self abuse bit like an addiction! Thats why I can't respect obese people

Thats why I can't respect obese people Some people are pre-inclined to being on the large side, both genetically and because of side-effects of other medication. There's a difference between being fat and being obese though - and people who get to that wait entirely through their own doing (crap diet, no exercise) and whine about how it's not their fault really do need a good slap.

an immediate turn off for me. its like saying "hey, hey look at me, look at me, i want attention and being slutty is the only way i know how" To me, it says so many things are wrong all at once. No self-respect, quite possibly easy (no thanks!), attention whore, and generally just unattractive.

Humour is attractive to both sexes but I think they see what is humour differently the number of times I've said or done something I thought was funny to get a blank reaction from my other half then to find 2,4,6 hours later her crack up when the pennys dropped is enormous but that in its self is funny as well. But there will always be a difference between the sexes in what is attractive the times I've been told off for looking, I just say the day I stop looking I'll be of no use to you.

I'm talking really big, they make my skin crawl! Theres one lady in the building who fits the bill. Always eating and tries to talk to me I am just repulsed by her and make quick exit every time!

She is out of breath when she walks about!
I really question how these people function, they'll simply be a burden on the nhs in later years!
