Right, Dennis the Menace. I postulate that if he were in fact real he would not be allowed to behave the way he does and would have a string of ASBOs for destroying neighbours flower beds with malevolent abandon, allowing his pet canine ‘Gnasher’ to run around unleashed biting the legs of employees of the Postal Service and chasing cats, and freely using handheld weapons based on primitive projectile based technology. Furthermore, his persistent and often violent harassment of wimp stereotype Walter the Softy would at the very least incur a restraining order in the approximation of 100 metres, thus rendering him incapable of initiating loutish behaviour on a weekly basis.
Desperate Dan would surely be a strain on the NHS with his refusal to deviate from a red bovine meat and pastry based diet, especially given his insistence on devouring said dish in one sitting. This would inevitably cause negative coronary, weight, sex drive and mood issues.
Roger the Dodger’s workshy antics would have rumbled by the state a long time since, especially as he is clearly fit and proper to undertake some form of renumeration based labour. If I was in fact his neighbour I would have rung the benefit fraud hotline a long time since, thus putting paid to his sponging shenanigans.
The Bash Street Kids in all likelihood would have been expelled and transferred to different schools for their persistently disruptive behaviour in both classroom and playground with no apparent signs of remorse.

One thing that amuses me about comics...
A big fight between a hero and a villain, no problem.
A bank robbery where innocent bystanders are shot at? No problem.
The supervillain melts a schoolbus with laser beams from his eyes, causing all the children inside to die a particularly slow and tragically horrible death? No-one bats an eyelid.
The slightest hint of the hero going home to his wife and having sex with her - an act of love between two beings - though? People go apeshit.

Lol Neko too right. Exalted for replying to my long thought out thread Perhaps we don’t want our comic characters to be too human or even near too. Let’s face it, Cyril the Civl Servant or Bob the Bank Manager wouldn’t really be too fun would they. Depressing probably!
