Genuine points of interest? A reformed character I tell you!
HOw can they ban something that's just a fad?

HOw can they ban something that's just a fad? Don't say that; you're being racist! I mean, we all know what a wonderfully rich part of African culture and history the vuvuzela is (Seriously, I've been called racist for supporting this ban. I would ask if it's too much for people to make themselves aware of the facts, but that's generally self-evident nowadays...)

Dates from the 70s doesn't it? Interesting that my suggestion that they shouldn't be banned may be racist. Got to get my head round that one!

Dates from the 70s doesn't it? Interesting that my suggestion that they shouldn't be banned may be racist. Got to get my head round that one! The first one was from the 70's, but they didn't spread beyond that one user until about 10 years ago. Clearly a vast store of heritage there! And apologies, I misread what you meant. I still think it's ridiculous to call the ban racist though!

I think we should also complain about the Pope's visit being declared a 'state visit' and therefore all taxpayers paying for the 'honour'.

I may have been Christened but I don't belong to any organised religion.

'A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.'
This is the definition of a cult. Doesn't sound much different to organised religion to me.

I think we should also complain about the Pope's visit being declared a 'state visit' and therefore all taxpayers paying for the 'honour'. Oh come on; it's not like the Vatican has enough money to pay for the security themselves just lying around the place...

Exonerated from racist accusations, I would at least like to back up all objections to the idea that my taxes contribute to any religious activities! Asylum seekers, single mothers and intervention work with young offenders I am happy to fund, churches and monarchy I object to.
So there.
