Yep, didn't see that coming but you have to hand it to Mourinho! Now wait for the Messi hat-trick in the return leg

Cambiasso was superb against Xavi.
Him and Zanetti clearly know Messi's playing style intimately, they knew what he was going to do before he did it. If there is one thing I would be so cheeky as to suggest for Lionel to work on, it would be being more unpredictable. Ronaldinho at his best had that about him, Messi doesn't yet.
When Pep sent on Abidal for Ibra with just under half an hour to go, you kinda knew he was thinking "No worries Lads, we'll take them at the Nou Camp".
Puyol is suspended for it though, as well as Stankovic. The last time Barca lost 3-1 in the 1st leg of a CL knockout match, they went on to beat Chelsea 5-1 aet in the return.

I imagine Mourinho to be the sort of person who is fastidious about researching his opposition. He is a tactical nerd and as such a brilliant manager.
He also gets the team to believe it's them against the world. He made Porto the most hated club in Portugal, Chelsea the most hated club in England and he has made Inter the most hated club in Italy! It gels the team and makes them very hard to beat.
He is very good at what he does on so many levels.

Inter were a much hated club well before Jose arrived at the San Siro. He has done nothing to harm that though. Some interesting thoughts on the game last night.

Final picture says it all Already heard people saying Inter were boring, playing anti-football etc, but you know what? I challenge you to find a single one of their fans who give a damn about that right now!

Well done Inter. I guess you could say the sending-off of Motta ruined the game really, still Barca were effectively robbed - nothing wrong with that second goal at all. And what control and finish from Pique for the first goal!!! Still, I hope that Inter go on and win it now

Whether Barca were robbed or not depends on the interpretation of Toure's 'handball'. It hit his hand but from only a yard away so it was possibly harsh to be penalised. However, his hand did appear to move towards it and Bojan took advantage by lashing the ball home, so maybe it was the correct decision. My initial instinct on seeing it was to shout for hands.
Hopefully Motta can get that red rescinded. It didn't look like violent play and certainly didn't strike Busquets as high as he made out. There was also a clip of him peeking though his hands every so often whilst rolling around.
