makes sense to me, to be fair, you don't deserve to possibly host world cup games we do, but we have to pay for you to do so.

Why do 'you' have to pay for it?

cos sheffield council is paying the £20 million it takes to make your shite ground fit to host world cup matches....
... they could just build a new stadium for that, nevermind just give us a pittance to upgrade our stadium to meet the required standard.

The council aren't paying that. The money was already secured for the build before the bid and it's coming from national funding groups because they're building classroom facilities for all local schools and colleges to use.

I would love to know what you think you've got to gain from pursuing this?
Do you really want to get caught in yet another legal battle that will yet again tarnish your own club name as a litigiously minded small business?
We don't have anything to give you at the end of the day. The 3 reasons the club have put forward are all defendable and you're really only ruining the chances of Sheffield being chosen as World venue.

I would also love to see how they prove that Sheffield City Council is biased towards Sheffield Wednesday football club, when it's the council that consistently refused to let us sell our training ground or give it planning permission so we could generate some revenue to reduce our debt.

It's a waste of tax payers money that the council will have to defend it's legitimate decision.
