Tottenham Announce 'Strategic Partnership' with InternacionalEnglish Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur, officially announced their ‘Strategic Partnership’ with Brazilian club Internacional today. The partnership was announced today via an official statement on the Tottenham Hotspur website: “The Club is delighted to announce that it has concluded a strategic partnership with Brazilian club Sport Club Internacional for the purposes of working together to develop players for both the Club and other European Leagues.” Inter Chairman, Vittorio Piffero, said: "This strategic partnership between two globally renowned clubs is an innovation in Brazilian football and will result not only in the exchange of youth players, but also in a comprehensive development of the Porto Alegre-based club by sharing expertise in areas such as marketing, promotions, trade opportunities, media and public relations.” Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy is said to be delighted at putting the finishing touches on the agreement and cited the like of Nilmar, Daniel Carvalho, and Rodrigo Possebon as shining examples of the Brazilians youth development structure. Levy said: “This strategic partnership between two globally renowned clubs is an innovation in Brazilian football and will result not only in the exchange of youth players, but also in a comprehensive development of the Porto Alegre-based club by sharing expertise in areas such as marketing, promotions, trade opportunities, media and public relations.” Link

Ah right. They are the probably the best setup club in Brazil (admin wise and all over really), their youth academy in particular is fantastic. Shame nothing much has come to fruition.

i know we looked at a couple of their kids, last season, but i think realistic if any link up is going to bare fruit we'd have to be in the prem.....
.... i don't really know now if there has been any continuation of dealings/talks/interactions between the clubs so....

European Exposure.... no brazilian will be playing for wednesday though... In the Championship though? Obviously the link up between Sheff Utd & Sao Paulo was agreed back when you were in the Premiership - it looks like any chances of anything at all happening, sort of stopped when you came back down. At least the link hasn't been terminated though, I guess that's a good thing.
