hey, I'm coming down Portman Rd for the city match this saturday. Been down several times, having been at uni in East Anglia. Always an enjoyable day out even if the games and results have been a bit mediocre over the years. I was pessimistic about this match getting the tickets last week, but after the first 2 games, Pearson's got us playing quite well. You always seen to be quite good at home so I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say it'll be a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. Anyway, I was just wondering where the Bobby Robson statue is at Portman Rd. I wouldn't mind seeing it to pay some respects. Is it possible to get near it as an away fan (because I know there is that big area behind the Britannia (?) stand where only home fans can get in. Its not in there is it? Also, £31 for a championship game!?!? Bloody expensive, particularly for saying the facilities in the Cobbold Stand for away fans are pretty poor and home fans can get £26 in some parts of the ground for the same game. Ah well, heres to a good game.

Yes, the statue's actually outside the Cobbold Stand, in the middle Geo. You'll see all the scarves and flags on the blue fence that runs along the side of the road. If you just follow that fence along, then you'll be able to see it. Really moving when I went on Sunday to get the coach to Coventry. £31? Crikey, that's ridiculous!! I'll give you a wave, I'm still opposite the away fans. (Yeah, the Brittania is right. But the big area is just an artificial football pitch and the ticket office is across from this.)

I think it's 30 quid for away fans to get into our gaff, even when we were in League 1

£22 for adults for your forthcoming Watford game GT.
The game. Really quite boring, very few chances at either end and neither goalkeeper will have thought they had a taxing afternoon. However, I'm satisfied with a point, even if Wayne Brown arguably had the best chance of the afternoon. A point away at Ipswich is never a bad result, particularly when they're tipped so highly by the pundits this year. It did look like you were missing Norris's creativity in midfield though, and personally I'm not a big fan of Stead. I thought Lee Martin looked qutie dangerous in patches but faded in and out until he went off. Also, it was interesting talking to some Ipswich fans after the game who aren't impressed by McAuley!
I think Keane was right to say the 2 sides cancelled each other out. Was moving seeing all the tributes outside for Sir Bobby.

Summed it up pretty well Geo. And I wasn't particularly impressed with McAuley that afternoon, but he improved last season, so hopefully he can come up to some of the standards we saw last season. The partnership between him and Pim needs time to develop, as it was McAuley and Bruce mostly last season.
Time to gel and all that.
The tributes really are moving, I welled up in the minute's applause (like I did at Coventry the other week), and playing 'My Way' was fantastic.
