Derby County's chairman of football Adam Pearson has been elected to the board of the Football League. Mr Pearson was voted in as one of the three Championship representatives to sit on the eight-man panel that heads up the continued development of the Football League. He said: "I am pleased to be given this opportunity. There are some talented people within the Football League, which continues to move forward both on and off the field. "I am looking forward to the challenge of being on the board and everything that brings." The Football League board, which is led by Lord Mawhinney - who, as chairman, is one of two independent directors - meets on a monthly basis. It also includes six divisional representatives - three from the Championship, two from League 1 and one from League 2 - who are elected by member clubs. Wooooo go Adam Pearson!!
