Great form from di Maria.
Pastore though in serie A is one to watch. Wants to join Barca in the near future.

that 3rd goal (the header off the one-time cross) was a thing of beauty.

He has 4 years to go on his Palermo contract. Like Di Maria - he's in good form (3 goals in 6 games). Can't see him resisting the lure of Barcelona to be honest, esp with his Arg team mate Messi there already.

In some cases yes, in others, not so much. Some players are bought as they are seen as an perfect player to fit into the style of play - A Villa (David, not Aston) as we have seen; fits straight in to the Barca model. In his case - he was pretty much a perfect fit to their style of play and he compliments the players already there, beautifully. Other types of players may find it tough if they are not "ready made", Keirrison for example. Then it's a mental challenge - can they adapt themselves to fit in (both on and off the pitch). A club like Barcelona will always be ok in regards to their financial situation as they generate a lot of money due to the size of their fan base as well as their success in sport. I'm saying that despite their money problems revealed this year.

Pastore's goal in Palermo's 4-1 defeat of Bologna earlier.
He dedicated it to all Argentine mothers (today is Mothers Day in Argentina).

are the pink kits Palermo's regular kits or were they worn for breast cancer awareness Regular Since 1907 (changed at least once; forced by the fascist regime). Nothing to do with breast cancer awareness. Ruben De La Red yesterday announced his retirement from football, at the age of 25.
